Clark County (1-6) vs. Scott County (6-1)

Scott County rallied from a 12-7 first quarter deficit to defeat Clark County 24-12.  Scott County got on the board first with a 99 yard kickoff return by Anthony Sandoval to begin the game.  Clark County responded with two first quarter touchdowns to take the lead.  Scott County scored 14 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 21-12 lead at the intermission.  Scott County scored the only points in the second half on a 39 yard field goal by Jay Wilmott

Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 250 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized six times for 69 yards but and lost one fumble.  Clark County had 12 first downs and 294 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 51 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. 

Brandon Lawson led Scott County's ground game with 87 yards and a TD on 16 carries.  Jose Smith carried the ball 17 times for 75 yards and a TD.  Anthony Sandoval chipped in with 63 yards on seven carries.  Lawson completed two of five passes for 16 yards.  Eric Sanders caught three passes for 23 yards.  Sam Payne led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles.  Payne recorded one tackle for a nine yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Brandon Lawson added four solo and four assisted tackles.  Cody Hudson chipped in with 11 assisted tackles.  Victor Brent intercepted two passes.  Fr. kicker Jay Wilmott had a good game with a field goal, three extra points, punted three times for a 39.3 average, and recorded four touchbacks in five kickoffs.

Ryan Williams led Clark County's ground attack with 115 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Dougie Mason completed eight of 22 passes for 128 yards with one touchdowns and two interceptions.  Travis Conner caught three passes for 73 yards.  Jarran Thomas added two catches for 34 yards and a TD.  Tatum Lewis led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles.  Robbie Hisle added two solo and nine assisted tackles.
