Boone County raced out to a 17-0 lead on their way to a 38-21 victory over Madison Central. Boone County rolled up 397 yards and five touchdowns on the ground tonight. The Rebels averaged 7.2 yards per carry.
Boone County recorded 26 first downs and 438 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized seven times for 49 yards and had one pass intercepted. Madison Central had nine first downs and 266 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized nine times for 57 yards and had one pass intercepted.
Cory Farris led Boone County's ground game with 234 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Kyle Arey carried the ball 18 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Shawn Bogle completed four of 12 passes for 41 yards with one interception. Mercier Doucette caught two passes for eight yards. Brian Robertson led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles including three tackles for losses totalling 22 yards. Greg Turner added nine assisted tackles.
Keshawn Simpson led Madison Central's ground game with 51 yards and a TD on eight carries. Chaz Hope completed four of 11 passes for 145 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Tyler Mays caught two passes for 70 yards and a TD. Ricky Rhodes caught a 70 yard touchdown interception. Daniel Bryan led the defense with two solo and 13 assisted tackles. J. R. Heiner added five solo and five assisted tackles.
