Bryan Station relied on a strong ground game (311 yards) and a ball-hawking defense (four interceptions) to defeat Montgomery County 34-14. Three of the interceptions occurred in the fourth quarter.
Bryan Station had 14 first downs and 387 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized four times for 38 yards and lost two fumbles. Montgomery County recorded 19 first downs and 290 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized four times for 20 yards and had four passes intercepted.
Donald Wilhite led the Bryan Station ground game with 122 yards and a TD on 19 carries. Tevin McCaden carried the ball five times for 78 yards and a TD. Chaz Mitchell carried the ball once and scored on a 59 yard run. Lance Morton completed five of eight passes for 76 yards and one touchdown. Terrell Combs caught four passes for 61 yards and a TD. Earl McCan led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles. Kris Bolton added four solo and seven assisted tackles. Jordan Williams recorded four solo and one assisted tackles, and intercepted two passes.
Kaleb Curtis led Montgomery County's ground attack with 58 yards and two TDs on 13 carries. Zack Stroub carried the ball three times for 55 yards. Kaleb Curtis completed 14 of 31 passes for 155 yards with four interceptions. Jamil Owens caught seven passes for 93 yards. Justin Covey added four receptions for 33 yards. Zac Hood led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles. Kaleb Curtis added five solo and two assisted tackles.
