Lexington Catholic (8-4) vs. Boyle County (12-0)

Boyle County reached into their bag of tricks on offense and played clutch defense to defeat Lexington Catholic 23-16.  Boyle County held a 16-9 lead late in the third quarter and had the ball on Lexington Catholic's 38 yard line when Phillip Mason threw a pass to Brett Marshall at the 35 who lateralled to Rees MacShara who ran 35 yards for the TD.  Lexington Catholic pulled within seven, 23-16, with 4:40 left in the game on a four yard TD pass from Nic Ward to Devon Williams and a conversion kick.  Lexington Catholic's Lee Ramsey recovered an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff but the Knights could not cut into the margin.

Boyle County recorded nine first downs and 292 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized six times for 51 yards and lost a fumble.  Lexington Catholic recorded 16 first downs and 251 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized three times for 24 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. 

Rees MacShara led Boyle County's ground game with 127 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.  Phillip Mason completed seven of 14 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Jordan Aumiller caught four passes for 45 yards.  Ben Slone led the Rebel defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles.  Jeremy Bardin added eight solo and three assisted tackles.  Bardin also recovered a fumble.  Lamar Dawson recorded six solo and six assisted tackles. 

Nic Ward led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 52 yards on 16 carries.  Greg Raglin added 41 yards on nine carries.  Ward completed 24 of 38 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Jonathan Bush caught five passes for 52 yards.  Lee Ramsey added four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Will Letton, Greg Raglin, and Daniel Vogelsang recorded four receptions each for 26, 17, and 15 yards respectively.  Lane Pumphrey led the defense with six solo tackles.  Bill Jacoby, Devon Williams, and Matt Bean each recorded four solo tackles and Jacoby recovered a fumble.
