Male (8-4) vs. Scott County (10-2)

Male rolled up 536 yards of offense and averaged 11.2 yards per carry in a 56-35 victory over Scott County.  Justin Green rolled up 351 yards of total offense (254 rushing, 75 receiving yards, and a 21 yard kickoff return) and five touchdowns to lead the victors.  Scott County's star RB Jose Smith had a very big game tonight with 266 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.  Scott County took an early 7-0 lead but three TDs by Green gave Male a 21-13 lead at the half.

Scott County pulled to within seven points, 42-35, with 8:34 left in the game on a 50 yard pass from Cory Cronin to Josh Walls and a two yard conversion run by Cronin.  Male regained control of the game and outscored Scott County 14-0 down the stretch.

Male recorded 20 first downs and 536 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 20 yards and lost a fumble.  Scott County recorded 18 first downs and 458 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized six times for 46 yards lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Justin Green led the Male ground game with 254 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries.  Dexter Britt completed 12 of 18 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns.  Tony Branch caught three passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Stewart Brown caught three passes for 20 yards.  Justin Green added a 76 yard scoring reception.  Antonio Booker led the defense with five solo and nine assisted tackles.  Booker also scored on a 40 yard fumble recovery.  Justin Green added two solo and nine assisted tackles.  Soloman Logan also recorded two solo and nine assisted tackles. 

Jose Smith led Scott County's ground attack with 266 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries.  Josh Walls carried the ball eight times for 34 yards.  Cory Cronin completed five of eight passes for 155 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Michael Weeks caught three passes for 60 yards.  Josh Walls added a 50 yard scoring reception.  Andrew Dumphord led the Cardinal defense with four solo and four assisted tackles.  Victor Brent and Aaron Mudrak each recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.
