Coach Eddie Eviston’s Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds gained 3917 yards on the ground and 1642 yards through the air. They averaged 42.2 ppg on offense and gave up 18.7 ppg. 5-11 180 pound Sr. RB Chris Kelly led the ground game with 1700 yards and 30 touchdowns on 259 carries. 6-1 170 pound Jr. QB Brady Hightchew carried the ball 167 times for 1077 yards and 14 touchdowns. Brady Hightchew completed 124 of 173 passes for 1590 yards and 13 touchdowns with four interceptions. 6-0 160 pound Sr. WR Brian Doyle caught 30 passes for 363 yards and five touchdowns. 6-1 210 pound Sr. WR Jake Cain added 29 receptions for 362 yards and three touchdowns. LB Chris Kelly led the defense with 118 tackles. 6-2 190 pound Jr. DL Logan Martin added 78 tackles.

Owensboro Catholic Aces gained 2548 yards on the ground and 3662 yards through
the air. They averaged 44 ppg on offense
and gave up 16.5 ppg. 5-8 195 pound Jr.
RB Russell Hayden led the ground
game with 1555 yards and 19 touchdowns on 188 carries. 5-10 160 pound Jr. QB Isaac Hardesty completed 242 of 339 passes for 3508 yards and 48
touchdowns with 12 interceptions. 5-11

50 passes for 977 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Newport Central Catholic defeated Owensboro Catholic by a score of 42-0. Newport Central Catholic improves to 13-2 while Owensboro Catholic falls to 13-2. Newport Central Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 450 yards of total offense. The Thoroughbreds were penalized seven times for 44 yards. Owensboro Catholic recorded 10 first downs and 178 yards of total offense. The Aces were penalized twice for 25 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.
Chris Kelly led Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 165 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Dylan Hayes carried the ball five times for 93 yards and a touchdown. Brady Hightchew carried the ball 11 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Brady Hightchew completed four of five passes for 60 yards. Clayton Bohla caught one pass for 32 yards. Jake Cain led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles and one interception. Dylan Hayes added four solo and one assisted tackles. Brian Doyle intercepted two passes.
Russell Hayden led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 42 yards on nine carries. Isaac Hardesty carried the ball 12 times for 34 yards. Isaac Hardesty completed nine of 19 passes for 48 yards with two interceptions. Russell Hayden caught four passes for 20 yards. Paul Lopez led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles. Alex Thompson added five solo and seven assisted tackles.
