Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Eastman home page! I hope you will find the information, pictures and maps useful in your research.
I created this web site to preserve our ancestor's history for my family and the countless future generations to come. With that purpose in mind, it is my hope that someone else in my family will pick up the gauntlet and carry on with this never-ending project after I no longer can.
I hope you will take a look at the Eastman Family History page. It has a lot of information regarding Downton, England, the town that our ancestors came from, our family crest, the passenger list from the ship Confidence that Roger Eastman came over to America on, the history of Haverhill, MA where the Eastman family settled, a slide show from Oakwood Cemetery in Lisbon, North Dakota and a special page dedicated to William Ballenger's Revolutionary War grave re-dedication ceremony. Click on the History button below.
For those of you who do not like clicking thru many pages of ancestor cards, I have created a family descendant report. It is in more of a text format, all on one page. Access it by clicking on the descendant button below.
I invite everyone to turn the pages of my family's e-album and discover my branch of the Eastman tree. And I hope you will take a look at the pictures I added to my web site...I've tried to get a picture of everyone in my family on-line. Just click on the photo image below. (Picture count: 106 as of 8/24/04)
Don't miss my new Miscellaneous Documents Page. You will find tidbits of information on many Eastmans that I have accummulated over the years. Since they don't relate directly to my Eastman line, I banished them to the miscellaneous page! You may find something listed that you have been searching for. This page will also take you to my new Discussion Forum where you can add your own surname inquiries or chat on-line.
I love hearing from all my Eastman "cousins", so if you have a moment, please sign my guestbook!
