Kevin Garnett
Kevin Garnett was born on May 19th 1976. He has an older sister, Sonya,
and a younger sister, Ashley. He (like Kobe Bryant) went to the NBA straight
from High School. He went to high school at Farragut Academy in Chicago.
As a high school senior he was named National High School Player Of
The Year by USA Today. He was also named "Mr. Basketball" for the state of
Illinios and earlier named "Mr. Basketball" for South Carolina in 1994.
He was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For the T-Wolves he started 43 of the 80 games that he played. In his second
season he became an All-Star by averaging 17 points per game. He along with
Stephon Marbury led the T-wolves to the playoffs but they lost to the Seattle Supersonics in the first round.
