Cyber Guitar Page
Hello friends. My name is Marty and I want to personally welcome you to my web site. It is my hope to develop this page into an information source that any guitarist can quickly reference to help them develop skills and knowledge about the guitar. Please check back often to view any future upgrades and added information, as it becomes available.
Making Your Ax Play Better
There are many things that you may want to do to improve the playability and sound of your guitar. Some of these you may be able to do and others should be done by a professional guitar repairman. Only you can make that decision. However, any adjustments you do can adversely affect your guitar. Have fun, but use caution.
Proper Guitar Tuning
There are ways to tune a guitar, and there are ways to tune a guitar. Follow this
tutorial and learn to tune properly the first time. Do not get in a hurry. Listen to the notes. When tuning, learn to tune by ear if possible. There may not always be a tuner available.Cleaning Your Guitar
The care and cleaning is very important for a long and loving relationship with your guitar. Never use harsh cleaners on any surfaces of a guitar. It could damage the finish, and that cost big bucks! To properly clean your instrument, use an approved guitar polish applied lightly to a soft supple cloth. Rub all the surface areas with the polish cloth first, then use a dry soft cloth (old white T-shirt) to finish the job. Do this on a regular basis and your guitar will look great for years to come.
