Jesse C. Pingno
Chief of Police
Pingno has been Chief of Police since 1980 and serves the community daily both as Police Chief and as a Resident of the Town of Independence, LA. Before Jesse became chief his father Luke Pingno was Police Chief from 1948 until Jesse was Elected in 1980. Jesse has a brother Luke Pingno Jr who is currently a Captain for Louisana State Police Troop-L. Jesse graduated from Independence High School, after high school he attended Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University where he attended courses in Criminal Law. Jesse is father of two children one son "Chad" and one daughter "Ashley".
