Brian LaMarca
Captain
LaMarca has been employed by Independence Police Department since 1992. He graduated from Independence High School in 1989. He then attended Tangipahoa Parish Reserve Training Academy in 1992 and worked as a reserve for Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. He was hired full time by Independence Police Department, where he is now Captain. LaMarca is a graduate of LSU Law Enforcement Academy 139th BTA, and is an instructor for DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety, Drugged Driver Detection, and Traffic Radar/Lidar. Captain LaMarca has also attended classes on DWI Checkpoints, and Uniform Crash Reports, and is a certified operator for the Intoxilyzer 5000. Among his duties, he is in charge of the Reserve Division and is the one ATTEMPTING to create this web page.
