In Memory of Ty

Tyron Lane "Ty" Thompson

June 22, 1974 ~ May 19, 1991

Son of: Donald E. Thompson~Donna Sibley Thompson
Grandson of: O. A. and Daisy McKnight
Clay S. and Connie Sibley
Brother of: Tiffany Connece Thompson

On the night of May 19, 1991 our precious Ty was called home
after a fatal automobile accident. The questions of why and
what if will forever be in our hearts. These questions are
burdens that Our Lord does not want us to carry.

We believe that when we get to Heaven and we see
Jesus in all His glory, in all of His majesty,
in all of His splendor, there will be two words
that we will say concerning the questions of life;
"Of course, Of course!" One glimpse of Him will
be all that we shall need for the rest
of eternity concerning the mysteries of life.

The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart;
and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the
righteous is taken away from the evil to come...
Isaiah chp. 57, vs. 1

Together we have created this memorial website for
Donna in honor of her precious son, Ty.
We share a bond that we have not asked for,
and that is the loss of a child.
It is our prayer that in the pages of this website,
you will remember Ty: A son, a brother,
a grandson a nephew, a cousin and a friend.
Ty was many things to many people, and his memory
will live forever in our hearts.....

"A Poem from Mom"

Ty, you were so much wiser than me
In so many ways that I couldn't see
You said, "Don't worry Mom, when it's your time
You'll have to go even if it's mine"

Ty, you told me you were ready
And now you are in Heaven with Grandma and Grandaddy
Your understanding of life and death
Was so very clear until your last breath
When your time came and God called you home
I couldn't accept it - my PRECIOUS TY was gone

I asked the Lord's help through this hard time
Of heartache, longing and emptiness of mine
I asked, "This burden you thought I could bear?"
I wept and wept, and there was much prayer

Before my burden on him I laid
And it's indescribable how much it weighed
For when I am weak, then I am strong
The Lord is with me, I'm not alone
For now I see through a glass darkly
But one day I'll see clearly, not just partly

For death is only a stepping stone
To a beautiful life we have never known
Where there is no suffering, tears or pain
Because in the Bible, Paul said, "To die is gain"

For all who believe in the RISEN LORD
Have been assured of this reward
For life on earth is a passing affair
Just a few brief years in which to prepare
For the Lord descending from Heaven with a shout
And this is in the bible, so I have no doubt

And with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God
The dead in Christ shall rise from the cold gray sod
Then we, which are alive and remain
Shall be caught up with them just the same
For that glorious meeting in the sky
With JESUS, MOSES, ABRAHAM and TY!

Until then....
We love you & miss you so much!
Love Mom & Tiffany

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Psalm chp. 116: vs. 15

"Let us remember that death is not the end,
but the beginning.
As the sun sets in our world,
the sun is just rising for others."
