*warning: final fantasy tactics spoilers exist on this page. proceed with caution.*

ok. i've recovered from my initial shock and anger caused by fft's ending. and i guess the more i think about it (convice myself of it), it was a... good... ending. i guess.

actually, i found it very weak. the final battle - no, all the final battles - were incredibly easy, but the final battle was very disappointing, to put it lightly. altima didn't even attack us. he just went after alma, who, of course, was practially invincible because of the mbarrier she put on herself.

and the final scene with orlan was... weak. so... did everyone but ramza and alma die? he says that he hoped his father (orlandu) died well, so i guess everyone died... but then he thought alma and ramza were also dead, but there they were. and then orlan was burned at the stake? wow, sucks to be him. so what happened with ivalice? and what happened to queen ruvelia? did she die? did i miss something?

and what the HELL is with delita? you think he's an ok guy, and then wham! he stabs ovelia dead. definitely a memorable last scene. my mouth was, literally, hanging open when i saw it. and actually, looking back, i guess that scene saved the ending from being totally terrible.

and such a huge damn deal is made about the zodiac stones, but then what happened to them? nothing is mentioned about them! really, nothing is resolved or put to rest. all the characters are forgotten except ramza, alma (who was a really weak character and didn't deserve to be treated like she mattered), and orlan. i guess i was expecting a big rpg ending, but fft is not an rpg, and i guess i just forgot that and got my hopes up too high. actually, i was so pissed off when it ended that i wanted to beat ffvii again to ease my anger, and i almost did, but it was too late.

...but really, what the hell is delita's deal?
