In our local paper, the Denham Springs News, there is a section where people can call in and make comments on what is going on in our community. These are some of the comments that have been made about the trial.

"I'd like to know what's wrong with our justice system? To me, the articles I've been keeping up with about the Carrier, LeJuene and Street trial: Carrier was the shooter and he walked scott free and the other two boys are doing 15 years. Something's wrong with that picture. I think they all should get 15 years or none of them should get any."

"How can a person be right in the middle of a crime and get off free? He says he's glad to be free and God has a plan for him. What kind of thoughts are this? "I wonder if the jurors that were dismissed from the Edwards trial for sleeping were some of the ones subpoenaed to be on the Carrier trial."

"For the first time in 20 years I am ashamed of Livingston Parish. I cannot believe that Livingston Parish jurors found Adam Carrier not guilty. I never thought the day would come when Livingston Parish would have something in common with Los Angeles, Calif. To Shane's mother, I know how you must feel because I am completely sickened by this verdict."

"I just want to say that I think it's very unfair that Adam Carrier walked away scott free. Everyone knew he was the shooter and even he admitted it. The other two boys who may not even have known he was going to do that got 15 years. Anyway, that Carrier boy said he accidently shot them. Ho do you accidently shoot someone three times?"

"I think that Adam Carrier ought to be retried in federal court for violating the person that he killed constitutional rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I'm sure the feds can get him on something like that if somebody has the guts enough to have him investigated and prosecuted."

"I'm calling in regard to Adam Carrier. I think that each and every juror should be charged with miscarriage of justice in that trial and Adam should be brought back to court and tried for attempted armed robbery. I'm ashamed with this out come. I'm ashamed for my parish."
