There are lots and lots of pictures here, so please let them load...they will be worth your wait! And, if any pages do not load when you first click on the link, please hit your refresh/reload button. Usually everything pulls up eventually! Also, if some of the pix are a little dark, adjusting the brightness on your screen to a lighter setting may help show more details. : )
MarstonArt
(and now including...MarstonArt Miniatures
and OOAK dolls...keep scrolling down!!)
Hello, and welcome to MarstonArt! I specialize in creating miniature tack for model horses.
Arabian-themed costumes, Medieval costumes, Other Historical costumes, etc...
(I also do a bit of other miscellaneous artwork as my time allows...)
Huh? Model horses, you say?? That's right! Since I still have not been able to figure out how to reasonably stable a real horse in my apartment...I have to make do with the smaller versions.
For a brief into to the wonderful world of model horse collecting...

If you are looking for the perfect addition to your favorite Arabian model...you have reached the right place! I specialize in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, to-scale, miniature Arabian costumes, LSQ. (Live Show Quality)
Details, details, details! I do everything possible to create a costume that is exactly like the "grown-up" version...only smaller. Most of the hardware is from Rio Rondo, and actually works. (SM scale costumes may have a few exceptions...I can get small...but there is a limit!! ) Arabian style stirrups are handcrafted from metal and epoxy, or modified from cast stirrups from Rio. The bits that I use vary. Some of them are Rio, some are modified for a more authentic look. Tassels are hand-wrapped with wire. All of the materials are sewn together, not merely glued. Saddlepads, drapes, and the saddles themselves have a lining, or backing, so that it looks good from all angles, even underneath. I also use lots of beads, decorative metal pieces, embroidery, ribbons, braids, metallic trims, and special fabrics to get just the right look for each costume.
