JAMMY CARMICHAEL FLUKES VICTORY IN DERBY FINAL B*&!!!*&RD!!!! Ok then, Gilbert Carmichael eventually cruised to a comfortable victory over Tommy Lavery in the final of the Derby Trophy. The game was tight thru the first 6 ends but after Tommy failed with a difficult double take out at the 7th, Gilbert drew in for 3 shots to lead by 4. Despite being under a fair amount of pressure, Team Carmichael held their nerve to secure the trophy in Gilbert's first season as a turd. Some may argue. Winning Rink - Gilbert Carmichael (skip), Ian Jones (skip), Chris Robertson (2nd) and Alasdair Hendry (lead)
