Port Glasgow Curling Club

LAST UPDATED 19 august 2009

2008-2009 Summary

At the end of another successfull season for PGCC, Robin McAuslan becomes the 8th different skip in 8 years to win the league - and then had the cheek to pocket most of the other prizes as well. Success in the Derby trophy with David Paton and Alex Christie's team was followed at the end by adding the Centenary trophy with Dave Hebenton to complete Port Glasgow Curling Club's Holy Trinity - a feat last achieved by Alex Millar in the 1970's; exalted company indeed. McAuslan added the opening Bonspeil to the list for good measure. The Hodson Trophy was won by Ian Boyd after a very tight competition, while President Bruce Murray scooped the Lapsley, giving Chris Robertson his 5th win in 2 seasons since joining the club - easy, eh Chris?.
