SELF Transactions publishes the papers,
chapters of monographs, reports about the investigations, notes in the areas of natural
sciences being in the area of the research interests of laboratory SELF: theoretical
physics, mathematical physics, wave physics, theory of analytical functions, theory of
complex variables (especially quasi-conformal and non-conformal mapping), theory of
differential equations (especially systems of ODE), dynamics, elasticity, vibrations,
circuit theory (especially calculation of ladder filters, transmission lines, networks),
electromechanical analogy, circuits synthesis, EM field theory (including the properties
of electrical, magnetic fields, radiation/reception of waves, advanced Maxwell equations
etc.), acoustics, gas dynamics, mechanics, geophysics, geochemistry, geology, planetology,
philosophy of science, history of science. We welcome the manuscripts on both
fundamental and applied research, with emphasis on the results of mathematical
investigation of physical processes and on the results promoting the progress in
mathematical modelling, in that number on the experimental works describing the phenomena
or revealing their additional, unknown before properties. The main principle of selection
of the papers is that the work has been made in frames of classical formalism and with the
thorough analysis of the basic approaches. About the basic principles of the journal you
can read in the Editorial paper Basic Principles
of the Journal. SELF Transactions is the electronic journal,
so we have a possibility to publish each paper once it is ready for publication, not
waiting a complete issue, as a printed version requires. It accelerates the publication of
the new results. Visiting our journal monthly or about that, you always will find in it
some fresh material. |

Subscription information SELF Transactions is available for free. We
do not require any payment for the journal. But we will be thankful for your volunteer
contributions for the research and publications. You are welcomed to participate in our
projects. And in any case we would like to hear your opinion about our publications and
your propositions, how can we make it better. Should you register yourself as the
subscriber, we will inform you about our next issues and their content. This will be
especially convenient for you in the view of continuous publication of the papers. You
will be always informed about our new publications. |

Information for authors Basically, this journal was assigned
to publish the materials worked out at SELF. So the Editors will publish them first of
all. But it does not mean that the Editors will be concentrated only on this task. Other
authors also are welcomed, if their submissions clearly relate to our aims and scope and
maintain the required quality of papers. We welcome research manuscripts
containing original investigations of the real-world physical phenomena and processes in
the areas of interest of SELF: theoretical physics, mathematical physics, wave physics,
theory of analytical functions, theory of complex variables (especially quasi-conformal
mapping), theory of differential equations (especially systems of ODE), dynamics,
elasticity, vibrations, number theory, circuit theory (especially ladder filters,
transmission lines, networks), electromechanical analogy, circuits synthesis, EM field
theory (including the properties of electrical, magnetic fields, radiation/reception of
waves, advanced Maxwell equations etc.), acoustics, gas dynamics, mechanics, geophysics,
geochemistry, geology, seismology, planetology, philosophy of science, history of science
(see also our scientific
interests). The breach of the conventional dogmas
will not confuse us, however unexpected it will be. But we will concentrate on the
rigorous proof of such breach. At least the primary mathematical description of the
process being the subject of the manuscript is required. In case of disputable points in the
subject stated by the authors, we reserve the right to publish this paper with our
editorial comment or with the discussion which took place in the course of the refereeing
process. The authors will be informed about it before the publication. We think our journal as the
international, so the language of the journal is English. We mean, if the paper satisfies
our requirements, it never will be rejected because of English-language problem. But we
will require from the authors to improve some specific moments of the paper, which we will
formulate as clearly as possible. To submit your manuscript, please
send one copy to our Editor-in-Chief to the following address: S.B. Karavashkin Laboratory SELF 187 apt., 38 bldg. Prospect Gagarina Kharkov 61140 Ukraine or by e-mail: selflab@go.com, Please prepare the electronic file of
your manuscript in Word, figures in Postscript, photographs in GIF. Always keep a reserve
copy of your manuscript and all the illustrative material! We will not return them back,
so please do not send the originals, unless the paper is accepted for publication. Please
note that this edition is non-commercial, so we ask the authors to ensure the high-quality
illustrations and their format, to minimise the processing. If your paper was first
submitted as the hard copy, when accepted, we will ask you to send us a camera-ready
electronic file by e-mail or on a diskette. |

All rights of the papers published in
SELF Transactions will be passed to the
SELF Laboratory as the publisher. Although the access to our journal is free, any
republication of the paper published in SELF Transactions,
in any media and form, needs SELF permission, as well as any quotations from our
publications. The authors who do not work at SELF have to sign the copyright agreement,
which will allow the authors to use for free their material non-commercially, for
preparing their lectures or the following publications in other editions. In any cases,
the reference to SELF Transactions is
necessary. The submission of your manuscript to
the SELF Transactions automatically implies
that all the authors have agreed to submit and took the responsibility that this
publication will infringe no ones authorship, copyright, commercial or other rights. |
