Wild Child

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The scream in the night faded as another vamp was dusted. "::sighs:: ......they just don't put up a good fight any more" Faith said as she stuck the stake back in her pocket. When she heard another fading scream coming from the cemetery, she knew it was time from some more action. She dashed to the cemetery only to find Buffy taking on 4 vamps at once. "Why does she always have all the fun?" Faith asked herself. When she saw Buffy hit the ground, she knew it was her chance to jump in for a lil fun of her own.

Faith dusted the vamps one after the other. Bam, #1 gone. Bam #2 toast. Bam, #3 dead. Buffy got up just in time to stake the last one. "Hey B, Wuz shaken Girlfriend?" Faith said in that Sassy "I'm big-i'm bad-i know it-and you can't stop me kind voice" "Working" Buffy answered a little out of breath. "Don't you just love our jobs, B,? Sure beats those damn cubicles in those stuffy offices" Faith said. They both laughed. "Wanna go get some coffee?" Buffy asked. "It's been a long hard night on the job, and I think I need a perk" "You know me, Up for anything!" Faith smirked.

After a long walk around town, they finally reach the coffee shop where Willow was doing some late night studying. "Hey" Willow said smiling as they walked into the coffee shop. Willow felt a little uncomfortable around Faith, but with Buffy there, she felt a little safer. "What's up with you gals tonight?" Willow asked. "Nothing,...Chillin,..Killin." Faith proudly said. Buffy rolled her eyes. "You know you love it B!" Faith said. "What do you want? My treat." "Vanilla Cappuccino" Buffy yelled back to Faith as she strolled up to the counter. Buffy sat down with Willow as Faith came back with their drinks.

After a long night of drinking coffee and talking, Faith, Buffy, and Willow walked back to Buffy's house. Willow was annoyed because Faith wouldn't shut-up about her kills that night. "Willow is gonna stay the night here, you wan-" Buffy began, but Faith cut off. "I'll go home, no biggie. Wanna get in some more kills before the night's done." "OK" said Buffy. "You sure you don't wanna stay with?" asked Willow. "Naw, It's OK" said Faith. "K" Buffy said. "Night" she added as she shut the door. Now, Faith was all alone in the cold, black night. But she knew nothing could scare her. She was the slayer, nothing could stand in her way...or so she thought.

As she scooped around the corner toward the Bronze, she saw a body lying in the ally. She wondered why no one else saw it. She knew there was a vamp near by. Her I.D. checked in at the door, and she stepped into the Bronze. There she saw a man. A man with Bleached blonde hair, a cigarette in his mouth, a beer next to him, and tears in his eyes. She walked toward him and sat down at the empty chair at the table. "Why the long face, bub?" she asked. She could tell he was a vamp. She could smell it. But he could smell the blood of a slayer on her. Spike looked up, wiping the tears from his eyes. "Timmy died." he exclaimed. "Timmy?" questioned Faith. "Don't you watch Passions ya bloody poof!?" Spike said angrily. "So sorry, don't watch that stuff." Faith smirked. Then, she started getting down to business. She slammed Spike up agents the wall, then threw him out the door and pulled out her stake.

"What the Hell?" Spike yelled. "You know that bloody hurt,...you stupid bint" "Tell me what I wanna know, Or you'll die." threatened Faith. "...and if I bloody don't?" said Spike, giving Faith a glare. "I'll still dust ya." Faith sneered. "Well, it depends" smirked Spike "what do I get if I talk?" "Staked if you don't." threatened Faith. "I take it that means I get nothing then, pet?" said Spike.

"Pretty much" said Faith. She put the stake 1 mm away from from piercing the skin above his heart. "Talk, or this'll get real ugly"

"All right then," started Spike. "what do you want to know?" "I wanna know what the hell your doing here." Said Faith "Duh you ninny," scoffed Spike "didn't you see me in there? I was drinking a beer. Listening to the band. What of it?" "No biting? No Killing? No anything?" Faith was confused. A vampire; in a place crawling with fresh flesh. It was an all-you-can-eat buffet in there. Why wasn't he feeding? "Are you part of a gang? Do you know where one is?" asked Faith, wanting answers. "Look, I don't bloody know anything, all right!?"

"Hey, I remember you," said Spike. "your that Faith girl."

"And you. . . " Faith began. Faith recognized that fiery red in his eyes.

She couldn't remember where he was from, but she knew she knew him from somewhere. ". . .and just what is going on here?" Faith whipped around to see Xander standing there with a look of suspision/aw on his face; fore Faith was on top of Spike, and Spike was pined to the ground. "He's a vampire, I'm going to kill him." said Faith to Xander. "Hey! Wait a bloody second. You said if I help you, I wouldn't die!" protested Spike. "I never said anything like that." Faith yelled back at him. "Don't kill him!" Xander argued. Xander began to run toward them. "...And...why shouldn't I stake him?" asked Faith, looking once again confused. "Because...." Xander began. Xander had to think fast. He really didn't have a good reason why Spike shouldn't be killed. "Because he's my brother." Xander finally said. Spike raised an eyebrow. Xander's mind stuttered at what to say next. "He was bitten when I was little. . ." Xander began to fake sob. Spike was laughing so hard inside he could have died.....well....he already was dead.

Faith didn't buy the act for a minute. "Whatever." she said as she got up off Spike and strolled away down the dark ally. "Thanks, mate. For a second there I thought she was gonna kill me off." "I was gonna let her." said Xander. Spike looked suprised and puzzled as Xander disappeared into the front door of the Bronze.

The sun glistened on Buffy's face. She moaned and stretched as her eyes slowly opened. "Will," she turned to see her red-headed friend asleep beside her. "get up." She shook her arm, but Willow was still in a deep sleep. Buffy sighed as she went down the stairs for breakfast. There, to her surprise, was Angel sitting at the table. "Hello, Buffy," he said in that deep, dark, shadowy voice he has. Buffy didn't know what to say except. . .

"Hi. What are you doing here? Is there some demon or something I have to know about?" "No," cooed Angel "just visiting." Joyce brought 3 plates into the kitchen. "Angel, do you want some syrup on your pan-" she was cut off when she looked up and saw Buffy. "Oh, Buffy. Morning. Breakfast?" "Uh, yeah," Buffy said pausing. "One Buffy Special, coming up!" Joyce said followed by a huge smile.

Buffy turned back to Angel as her Mom went into the kitchen. "Are you sure there is no big world-gonna-end type thing going on?" "I'm just here for a visit. Can't a vampire stop buy your house and say hi?" "Well,. . . ." Buffy began. She changed subjects. "Doesn't she know that you don't eat pancakes?" she asked. "Yeah. . ." he said "but I'm just being polite." "Here you go!" Joyce cooed "one Buffy Special!" She set the plate down infront of Buffy. She looked at the scrambled eggs, 3 strips of bacon, and peanut butter toast and sighed. She was startled when Willow came down the stairs. "Uh. . . hi" croaked Willow, her voice raspy, "am I interrupting anything?" "Um, no" began Buffy. "Sit down." finished Angel. Willow sat down and looked Angel over. He looked ok, so what could be wrong? "I haven't been completely honest with you. . ." Angel whispered.

"What?" Buffy stared at him. He'd kept something from her. She couldn't believe it. What could be so shocking to her that Angel wouldn't dare tell. "I don't know why I questioned to tell you." Angel sighed. "What is it?" asked Buffy.

"Faith tried to stake Spike last night." "How do you know?" asked Willow. "I was there, in the ally, looking for anything that might be suspicious."

"Why did you keep that from me?"

"I don't know..."

"Are you loosing some kind of trust in me?" Willow slowly got up and left the room. She knew that wasn't a good spot to be. It wasn't a good way to start the morning. There was a knock at the door. Willow figure that Buffy and Angel were busy in the kitchen, so she answered it. There, Faith stood in the doorway of the Summer's home. "Hey," Willow said "I didn't know you got up this early, Faith." As soon as the word Faith was said, Buffy stopped. Angel stopped. The house became silent. Willow managed to chime "Come in." There was a red blood stain on her shirt. Willow figured that it was from the night before. "Found a nest," said Faith smiling "up from some fun?"
