To Our Rabbitry


Hello. My name is Terri and my daughters name is Amber. We are the owners and operators of Snowy Angels Rabbitry. We also have a behind the scene man (Mike).We are a average size rabbitry. We are working on breeding as close to the standard as we can get and we cull alot of our rabbits by various means. We are located in Walkerton, Indiana, 25 minutes from South Bend, 10 minutes from Laporte and about 1 hour from Chicago..

My daughter started off with a Netherland Dwarf that was given to her and then we purchased a Jersey Wooly so she could have 2 rabbits to take to 4-H fair. This was her first year at the fair (2001). She did OK. Her Jersey won BOB in his category. From that year on our love for rabbits has grown. We tried different breeds, starting with Angoras then Jersey Woolies. We found as our time grew shorter those breeds would no longer be for us. They were very demanding and time consuming. So our hunt began for the perfect breeds. My daughter had always loved the Dwarf Hotot, but it was hard to get good stock. So the hunt was on! Now have Holland Lops, Dwarf Hotots and Blanc De' Hotots.

This is a photo of what our rabbitry did look like. We now have a new barn and will post photo's when we have time. We spend a lot of time in the barn with the rabbits on the average of 2 hours daily.

We attend a few shows a year as time permits. My daughter loves sports (Soccer, Basketball and her all time favorite Fastpitch Softball). She is also in a school choir and a member of 4-H and the YMCA. We hope to be able to start getting to a few more shows in the near future. We have many new rabbits and litters always due.
