Poems By Lindsey H
Ode to Slim, a Green Snake
Oh my dear Slim
A Pugs Rug
A pugs mug is smug,
Lightning
I stand outside
I softly gaze
I listen so intensly
It lit up the sky
Momma
When my dad goes out of town
Beside my momma I do lay
"Goodnight momma, I love you"

My Wonderful Life
My life I treasure so dearly,
Mothers
Mothers are like flowers,
The Old Pine Forests
The old pine forests are so enchanting,
M&Ms
Oh how I love M&Ms!
Even though they don't help to slim.
Alright now a poem by both the Lindseays!
There is a dance we like to do

where have you been?
with your carefree ways
on these warm spring days
are you lounging in a thicket
carefully watching for a cricket?
are you climbing in a tree
lazily thinking of me?
come back to me dear slim
I long to see you again
as he sits so snug on a rug,
and watches a bug run towards his mug,
of whom he snaps hoping its trapped,
but it flapped and the cat slapped,
and as the cat slapped the pug snapped
this time at the cat, then came attack
the cat bounced across the house,
and the pug flounced as if to pounce,
but the cat was fast in contrast
to the pug who was in last
now they both are outside
and the cat went to hide and to reside,
the pug tried but never eyed that cat in hide,
so now the pug with his smug mug,
went and layed snug on his rug
on a warm summer night
and look at the sky;
at the dark dusty sky
and listen to the frogs
who bellow and sigh;
to the frogs who sing
and suddenly I see
a flash of lightning;
with such delight
as if to say
I come to fright
from upstairs I do come down
and crawl right into his bed
where on his pillows I lay my head;
where all my fears just go away
just the presence of her being there
helps me sleep without a care;
"Goodnight, I love you too"
are the words that we speak
before we drift to sleep
Even though at times it's weary.
My Mother I love so much,
With her soft and gentle touch.
My Dad nice and caring,
With that uniform he is always wearing.
My Sisters sometimes depress,
Talking about how I dress.
But my Sisters I do love,
I'm glad they were sent from above.
No matter how mean, rough, or tough,
I love my Brothers more than enough.
My two Nieces I care about,
Even though they cry and put.
All three Nephews love to play,
And to them i would like to say,
That I love them a whole lot,
I would never trade what I got.
My Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law I love,
They are a blessing to us from above.
See how my life is so wonderful?
It is more than a bundleful,
Of blessings from above,
My family I so dearly love.
I am so glad God blessed me,
With my wonderful family!
That is what I think.
They are like pure rain showers,
Pure enough to drink.
They are all just as beautiful as the springtime that comes.
In that special time of year,
To brighten up our homes.
All the beautiful colors they can be,
Mine is just as beautiful to me.
They smell like flowers in the morning sun,
That have been out for hours, yet springtime has just begun.
I love my mother more than a pure rain shower,
And I would never trade her for a flower.
They make you stand in awe.
There they are straight and tall, standing,
While the ground is covered with rusty red pine straw.
The old pine trees are always green,
No matter what season.
The dark folage is so keen,
To harm them there would be no reason.
When you top a hill there they are,
As far as the eye can see.
It just makes you want to stop your car,
To look and think it was created so brilliantly.
God created the old pine tree,
For us to enjoy them all.
We should be like the old pine tree,
Pointing to God and standing proud and tall.
With all that chocolate all over,
IT'S TRUE! Chocolate is better in color!
It's great how it melts in your mouth,
When eating it, there is no need to pout.
Blue, red, orange, and green!
Oh how the colors gleam.
When I see them, my mouth goes crazy,
I just wanna sit, eat, and be lazy.
But sonner or later i'll know,
This experience will go,
Because I've eaten them all up,
No more joy to fill my cup.
But there will be a warm thought in my mind,
I shall always look forward to next time.
Oh I cannot wait until when,
The two of us shall meet again.
I will part with this saying,
With you I beg and I am praying,
That if you have some,
Can you please give me one?
everyone can join in and do it too!
Its called the peanutbutter jelly dance
Against it, no other has a chance
first you move this way
With your arms moving and your butt swaying
don't forget to sing along
Because this is a great song!
spin around and do a jig
It's fun! The laugh is big!
you'll never forget this great jelly dance
You might look funny at first glance
but thats just fine
the banana will think of you very kind
for the banana is part of this dance too
But keep up! Because he really knows how to move
if you ever stop the banana will get mad
To stop would be ever so sad
but no we won't stop
Yes, we'll dance until we drop
the peanutbutter jelly dance is ever so grand!
You can have your own banana band
what fun this can be!
come on, join in with me
peanutbutter jellly, peanutbutter jelly
peanutbutter jelly with a baseball bat!
but the end is nearing and that is that
I would like to leave you with this thought
the banana dance will always be on top!!!!!!!!
