Hay Amigos, this is LinuxLala aka Shashank Sharma.
I am 18 (light) years old. I thought the best chance I had of desiging software
for the working of a plasma drive was by getting a B.Tech (that's Bachelor of
Technology) degree. So, that's what keeps me busy these days. And oh, by the way
if I get to be the Captain, I would also have a BBA degree as a test of my
"managerial" prowess.
I was introduced to Linux back in 1996 by my dad. My first distribution was a
Slackware on a 166 Mhz Pentium machine. My knowledge of Linux comes from the man
pages, and the Internet. But that's what these media are good for. If you really
gotta learn Linux, be ready to get your feets wet.
In recent years, much has been said about Linux and the GNU/Linux battle. I use
the term battle as it appears to me to be so. We, the free software promoters
community, should not be exchanging words amongst ourselves regarding a
difference of opinion. Our sole aim should be promotion of Free Software
Movement.
Such incidents not only show the Open Source Community in bad light, it also
strengthens the hold of MS and Closed Source.
Irrespective of what we call it, I promote and respect the idea behind
Linux, Open Source. I feel that we all should support and help grow awareness
about Open Source and Free Software Movement.
This site aims at making you see clearly why Linux has developed from being a
high school project to being the choice of programmers and developers all over
the world. This has happened because Linux users are not shy of sharing their
experiences and soughting help from other Linux users. A lot is available on the
net including every itsy-bitsy topic thanks to contributions from home users and
developers.
Thus, Linux continues to grow, to boldly go where none have gone before, thanks
to several unselfish homosapians who support the Free Software Movement.
