Chapter 3
Alison made her way down the hall to her room; she looked at her watch, 1 in the morning. She wondered if Max was home yet, she couldn’t wait to tell her all about her date and Jason. How the two connected so amazingly and how she felt so at ease talking to him. The two drove around for two hours talking about everything and nothing. He talked about the WWF and the traveling, she told him all about her family and her life, how she just finished college. At the end of the date he gave her a hug and a little kiss on the cheek. Aly couldn’t deny she was so attracted to him, but she didn’t want to fool herself, after all this could just be a summer attraction… but who knew, it could be more.
Opening the door to the hotel Alison jumped back at what she saw. “Oh my God!” she squealed as she looked at Max and Adam really going at it. They pulled apart as if being caught by parents. Max scantily clad in just a black bra set and Jason only wearing his pants.
“Aly,” Max said sheepishly, her face turning red, “Hey, how was your date?”
“Great,” she said slowly as Adam and Max exchanged looks, “apparently not as good as yours.”
Both Max and Adam laughed shyly as Adam got up slowly, searching the pile of clothes on the floor for his shirt, “I’ll get going,”
“No,” Aly said, feeling more than embarrassed, “I’ll just leave.”
“You could stay with Jay,” Adam suggested, “I mean, there are two big beds, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.”
“Sure,” Aly agreed taking a deep breath and still feeling like a moron for not knocking, “Let me just grab some stuff.”
She left the room in hunt of Jay’s room…this would be interesting.
~~~ ~~~
Aly knocked on the door, feeling nervous. Jay opened the door wearing a pair of sweatpants, his long blonde hair dripping wet, obviously having just gotten out of the shower. His face went into a huge smile at seeing Alison standing there, “Hey, you, What’s going on? You haven’t seen Adam have you?”
“Adam and Max are sorta, actually really are going at it in my room. Adam said I could stay here with you the night, if that’s ok with you?”
“Definitely,” Jason said smiling, silently thanking Adam, “Let me just finish up in the bathroom and I’ll be right out.”
“Sure,” Aly said as she sat on one of the beds and looked around, she picked up a magazine and started flipping through it.
“I see you only read the finest,” Jason said as he stepped out of the bathroom smiling.
Alison looked at him confused, “There’s an article in there about Adam and me,” Jay explained laughing.
“Oh,” Alison laughed, “Do you mind if I get changed quick?”
“Go for it,” Jay said as he watched Alison retreat to the bathroom.
~~~ ~~~
20 minutes later the two sat Indian-style in the middle of one bed talking.
“I’ve had a lot of bad relationships in the past,” Jay explained, “Being a pro- wrestler is fun, and it’s an amazing opportunity, but it’s hard to have a relationship.”
They talked some more of past relationships, neither of them bringing up what they talked about in the restaurant.
Aly yawned and Jay laughed, they were both obviously getting tired. Aly giggled and looked at the clock to see it reading 2AM.
“We better get to bed,” Aly said as she started to stand up.
“Yeah,” Jason said as he also stood up. The two stared at each other for a minute and Jason moved his head forward and brushed his lips softly against hers. She backed up and looked up at Jason.
“I’m sorry,” he apologized looking down at her, “I am so sorry.”
“It’s ok,” Aly said as she slowly licked her bottom lip, “I just can’t, I’m sorry, I can’t…not yet.”
Jason put a smile on his face even though he was a little disappointed, but he also smiled because she gave him hope… not yet, she said and he smiled at that as he climbed into his bed. ~~~ ~~~
20 minutes later, Aly rolled over in her bed not being able to sleep. She sensed Jay was still up, “Jay,” she whispered through the darkness.
“Yeah,” he whispered back.
“I was just thinking that…” Aly started.
“Mhmmmmm,” Jay said sleepily.
“Well,” she said slowly, “Even though we’ve only known each other for like a day, I feel like I can really talk to you and connect with you.”
“Oh,” Jay answered, “I’m glad you feel that way. I hope you’ll be able to trust me enough someday to tell me about what happened in your last relationship.”
“I do trust you Jay!” Aly demanded, “I really want to tell you, and I will, I promise. I never thought I could trust someone so much in such a short time.”
Although she couldn’t see it, Jay had a huge smile on his face, he felt the same way.
“Good night Jay,” she whispered.
“Sweet dreams Aly,” he whispered back.
