Chapter 6

Adam, Jay, Aly, and Max arrived at a crowded club around 8. “Let’s dance!” Aly screamed over the loud music as she took Jay’s hand and led him to the crowded dance floor, Adam and Max followed. After a few minutes on the dance floor, Aly left to get a drink. Jay watched her go up to the bar and kept his eyes on her.

On her way to the bar she crashed into a brown haired guy in his early 20’s. “Sorry,” she apologized and kept walking.

“No, I’m sorry,” the guy said as he followed her to the bar, “I was actually watching you on the dance floor, you look good,”

She nodded and crossed her arms in front of her, “Thanks.”

“Is that your boyfriend out there?” the guy asked, “if so he is a very lucky man.”

“Yes,” Aly lied,” he is…if you don’t mind I’m going to leave…”

The man grabbed her upper arm as she turned around, “excuse me!” she yelled at the man, feeling panicked, “let go!” she demanded.

“Do you think you’re boyfriend would mind if we danced?” the guy asked letting her arm go.

“He would mind,” Aly said turning around, once again he grabbed her arm, “LET GO OF ME!” she screamed, although it was mostly drowned out by the music.

“One dance,” the man pleaded his eyes dancing.

“You’re hurting me!” Aly cried as the man tightened his grip around her arm, “Let go of my arm!” The man just tightened his grip, she struggled some more yelling, before she knew what happened, the man let go and she saw him fly to the ground.

“Bastard!” Jay said screaming at the man, “Don’t mess with her!”

“I was just flirting man,” the guy said from the ground.

“Don’t!” Jay said angrily as he turned to Aly, he turned much softer, “Are you ok?” he asked as he put his arm around her shoulder and led her out of the club, shooting the guy who was coming off the floor a dirty look.

Once outside, Jay leaned against the wall, closed his eyes, and sighed. Aly watched him, not knowing what to say, he opened his eyes and looked at her, “You sure you’re ok?” he asked.

“Fine, thanks to you,” she told him, taking his hand in hers, “Are you ok, Jay?” she asked her green eyes meeting his intense eyes.

“Yeah,” he said avoiding her eyes, “It just pissed me off to see him put his hands on you. I got so scared when I saw how petrified you looked, when I realized he hurt you… I had to stop him…” his voice trailed off.

Aly debated over what to say as she looked at the man who she had known for two days, but who she trusted with all her heart, “Jay…” she whispered, as she tried to let the words out. Jason looked at her, Aly’s mind raced, she didn’t know what to say, so she reached up and kissed him. Jason backed up a little surprised, but soon put his arms around her waist as her hands toyed with his hair.

“Aly?” he said softly as he pulled away gently, her eyes looked up at him, “Does this mean we are…together?” Aly smiled softly and put her lips against his lips lightly kissing him, as the kiss intensified Jay knew the answer.
