Chapter 10

Leila and Jeff sat quietly in the sitting room of Leila’s suite two days later, the scripts on the coffee table in front of them. Taking a sip of her water bottle, Leila picked her script off the table and skimmed over it quickly.

“So basically I just come in and thank you for coming into the ring and you make sure I’m feeling alright, and then I thank you again and say I’ll see you in the ring,” Jeff summarized as he looked at his script lying on the table.

“Guess so,” Leila replied, “I’m a little nervous about cutting a promo though.”

“It’s easy,” Jeff answered, “all we’ll do is go into an empty locker room with a camera man and about 2 or 3 other guys and we’ll cut or scene as many times as needed and they’ll just air it later that night.”

“When do you think the kiss will happen?” Leila asked awkwardly, looking down at her manicured hands.

“They’ll build it up for a few weeks,” Jeff answered, “but it’ll happen pretty soon.”

“What kind of kiss do you think it’ll be?” Leila asked, still feeling awkward.

“It’s hard to say,” Jeff replied, “Matt’s and Amy’s was all out last year.”

“Do you think that’ll happen?” Leila questioned, feeling a knot in her stomach.

“I dunno,” Jeff shrugged, “I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Maybe.”

“Do you hope it’s all out and passionate?” Leila asked embarrassed, feeling blood run to her face.

“I wouldn’t mind it,” Jeff laughed.

Leila smiled at hearing that, although she wouldn’t admit it, that’s what she hoped for too.

“Were you serious?” Jeff asked, breaking Leila out of her thoughts.

“About what?” Leila questioned, taking another sip of her water.

“Telling me about your past and what happened?” Jeff asked, “were you serious?”

“When the right time comes,” Leila nodded, and as Jeff looked into her eyes he knew that she was telling the truth.

“Do you want to stay and watch a movie or something?” Leila asked, suddenly wanting Jeff to stay with her.

“I’d love to,” Jeff said standing up, “but I promised Matt, Jay, and Adam I’d hit a club with them in about an hour. You’re welcome to come.”

“No thanks,” she declined with a small smile, “I’m not in a clubbing kind of mood. But you have fun.”

“Alright,” Jeff nodded, “then I guess I’ll see you later.”

“This was very nice Jeff,” Leila said, “thanks for everything. I appreciate it.”

“For you?” Jeff laughed, shaking her hand, “Anytime. And if you change your mind about the club, we’re leaving in about an hour.”

“Ok,” Leila replied as he walked out the door. As she watched him walk out the door, she had the sudden urge to go clubbing as she made her way quickly to her bedroom to get changed.

“You ready to go?” Jeff asked as he slid his leather jacket on and took one last look in the mirror.

“Just about,” a smiling Matt said walking out of the bathroom, “how do I look?”

“Very suave,” Jeff nodded, “sure to be a big hit with the ladies.”

Matt shook his head as he gave his brother a small shove toward the door. Jeff swung open the door and a smile appeared on his lips as he saw what was on the other end.

“Hey,” Leila said softly, almost embarrassed as she ran a hand through her hair.

“What’s up?” Jeff asked as he heard Matt sigh over his shoulder.

“Is that offer to go clubbing with you guys still there?” Leila asked toying with a strand of her hair.

“Of course,” Jeff replied with a grin, “what made you change your mind.”

“I didn’t want to be alone,” she admitted quickly, looking at Jeff with an embarrassed smile.

“Hey, the more the merrier,” Matt chimed in from behind Jeff, “but can we please get going. We’ve gotta meet Jay and Adam!”

“Sure,” Jeff laughed, looking at the anticipation on his brother’s face, “let’s go.”

Leila followed the guys through the smoky, crowded club. She grabbed onto the back of Jeff’s shirt so she wouldn’t lose him in the crowd as they made their way up to the bar.

“Have you ever had sex on the beach?” Leila yelled over the music.

“What?” Jeff asked loudly and wide eyed.

“The drink,” Leila laughed as she watched Jeff smile.

“No,” he shook his head, “should I try it?”

“I’ll treat,” Leila offered, turning towards the bar and waiting for the bartender.

Jeff too this opportunity to study Leila as she had her back turned to him. Her long brown hair was held back off her face, but fell down her back. She wore a pair of low cut, tight leather pants and blue backless tank top that emphasized her tan skin. She swayed her hips to the music as she waited patiently, hypnotizing Jeff as he couldn’t take his eyes away from her lower body.

“Excuse me?” a voice behind him said as he turned around to face an amazing looking blonde, “would you like to dance?”

He looked over at Leila, then back at the woman and shook his head, “I’m sorry, I’m here with someone.”

“Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize,” the woman apologized as she disappeared back through the crowd.

“Who was that?” Jay asked as he walked towards him followed by Adam and Matt.

“Just a girl who wanted to dance,” Jeff shrugged as his eyes wandered back over to Leila who was now ordering and paying for their drinks.

“She was really good looking,” Adam commented.

Jeff shrugged, “she was alright. Y’all can go dance, I’m gonna go see if Leila’s up to dancing.”

Matt shrugged as he followed the 2 blonde men onto the dance floor and Jeff walked towards the bar as the bartender handed her 2 cups.

“Here ya go,” Leila smiled, handing Jeff the cup.

“Thanks,” Jeff said taking it and taking a sip.

“What do you think?” Leila asked, sipping out of her cup.

“It’s good,” Jeff agreed, as he finished his drink quickly, “how about we dance?”

“Sure,” Leila agreed, taking his hand with her free hand and holding her cup over her head as they made their way towards the dance floor through the crowd.

Leila recognized the song as belonging to Adema as she started to sway her hips to the beat. She used her free hand to push a strand of hair out of her face as she looked at Jeff who was dancing to the beat of the music. Leila watched his body move and it was mesmerizing as she felt her body get pulled closer by some invisible force. She felt her body rub up against Jeff’s as he let his hands rub down her sides. She felt tingling go through her body as their bodies pressed against each other. Using her free hand she ran it down his chest as they continued to dance to the music, neither of them missing a beat.

She felt Jeff’s hand rub down her lower back and couldn’t be happier. Pushing her body closer to his, he let his hands run down the hips of her leather pants. She felt as if her body was on fire as she felt his hands through her pants and turned around as she pressed her back against his chest.

She could feel his warm breath on her neck as she rested her head on his shoulder and he slid his hands around her revealing stomach as they stayed in beat to the music. She closed her eyes and it was like it was just her, Jeff, and the music. She let her hand travel to around his neck as he kissed her neck sending chills down her spine.

“You see them?” Matt asked from the second floor of the club that looked over the dance floor.

“They’re really going at it,” Adam agreed, watching Jeff wrap his arms around Leila and move to the music.

“Don’t worry about them you guys,” Jay said, turning away, “let them do their own thing, they’re big kids, they can take care of themselves.”

“You’re right,” Matt replied, taking one last look at the dancing couple.

“I need another drink,” Leila said after a few more minutes of dancing and holding the empty cup up.

“Alright,” Jeff said taking her hand and following her off the dance floor.

“You want any?” she asked as she leaned against the bar.

“That’s alright, I’m good for the night,” Jeff replied as he watched her order another drink and pay the bartender.

“I love this song,” Leila said as she heard a familiar song play over the speakers as she finished up her drink, “we gotta dance to this one!”

Jeff followed her onto the dance floor, noticing how the alcohol was affecting her, but figuring it was just helping her loosen up. Jeff once again wrapped his arms around her hips as she danced against his body. Mouthing the words to the song, she slid her hand down his face and down his chest, all the way to his stomach and looped her fingers into his belt loops.

Jeff felt her face move closer to his and the next thing he knew her lips were pressed hotly against his and he was returning the kiss as he wrapped his arms around her.

Not sure if it was just her attraction for Jeff, or partly because of the alcohol she just let herself cave into her wants…her desires. Her body burned as Jeff let his hands run over her as they kissed in the middle of the dance floor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~
“I think you’ve had enough to drink,” Jeff told Leila half an hour later as they stood by the bar, ready for Leila to buy another drink.
“I’m fine,” she laughed, but knew the alcohol was affecting her at great lengths.
“How about we head back to the hotel?” Jeff asked, taking her hand and pulling her away from the bar.
“And do what?” she asked as she placed kisses against his neck. Jeff sighed, knowing it was the alcohol talking and not her.
She was wasted, completely wasted. This was her 6th trip to the bar at least and he knew she’d had more then enough.
“I’ll tell Matt we’re leaving and we can grab a cab,” Jeff replied as she smiled up at him, taking his hand and following him through the club, looking for his brother.
~~~~~~~~~**~~~~~~~~~

“I haven’t had that much fun in so long!” Leila cried flopping onto the couch as she entered her suite, “thanks so much Jeff.”

“I actually had a lot fun too,” Jeff replied honestly, but knew the fun he had was the result of Leila’s drinking. Sitting down next to her, she leaned over and started kissing his neck.

“Leila,” he sighed as her kisses moved to his ear, “you gotta stop.”

“You don’t like me?” Leila asked, embarrassed moving away from Jeff as she pushed a strand of hair out of her face.

“No, I do Leila,” Jeff replied, “I really, really do. But you’re drunk, so this isn’t right.”

“No, it’s just helping me realize how really attracted I am to you,” Leila replied as she straddled him.

Jeff let out a sigh as Leila let her hands run down his chest. He didn’t know what to do, more then anything he wanted to be with this girl, but not when he knew she’d regret it the next day.

“Leila,” he groaned, “you’ve gotta stop.”

Leila smirked as she leaned over at captured his lips with hers. Forgetting his arguments, he kissed her back as he let his hands wrap around her and travel down her back, then up her thighs and rubbed her hips, then he stopped.

“What’s wrong?” Leila asked, leaning her forehead against Jeff’s.

“Leila, I can’t,” he answered, using all of his self control, “we’ve got to stop. If you want to do this when you’re sober…”

“I told you Jeff,” she replied, letting her hands rub his upper leg and thigh, “I have complete control and the alcohol has not effect on me.”

Jeff closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he felt her hands on his upper leg and her kisses once again on his neck.

In one quick motion, he picked her up and placed her next to him. She looked at Jeff with hurt eyes and crossed her arms in front of her.

“Leila,” he repeated, “there’s nothing that I’d rather do then…”

“Do you want to know?” Leila interrupted.

“Know?” Jeff asked.

“About my past.”

“No, not like this Leila, lets get you to bed.”

Leila didn’t say anything as he scooped her into his arms like a child. Carrying her into the bedroom he placed her on her feet as he quickly unmade the bed and she climbed in.

Jeff walked out of the room when he heard his name called softly. He turned around and looked at Leila sitting up in the bed.

“Yeah?” he asked.

“Thanks,” she whispered, “for not letting me do something I’ll regret.”

Jeff nodded as he shut the door and walked into the sitting room, where he laid down on the sofa and fell asleep.
