Chapter 58

No one said anything for almost 2 miles and Matt felt consumed by the silence - it was killing him, he wished someone would just say something. Jeff finally broke the silence, "Your in love with Angela?" Jeff asked looking at Matt in the mirror.

Matt shrugged and shook his head. "Yeah I think I am." Matt said softly.

Adam cleared his throat and sighed, "Matt aren’t you sort of rushing into things?" Adam asked turning to look at Matt.

Matt sighed, "I can’t help how I feel, I’m crazy about her! I didn’t even feel this way when I was with Lita. I dunno, Angela makes me feel things I’ve never felt. I do, I think I’m falling in love with her..." Matt said softly looking up at Adam and Jeff in the mirror.

"I don’t know what to say other then I’m happy for you, but I don’t think you should rush into anything Matt!" Jeff said as he reached over and turned the heat up.

Matt grinned, "I won’t. Thanks." Matt said softly.

Meanwhile.... at the lodge. Trish is in the kitchen cooking, while Jay sits at the table and slices vegetables helping her. Molly and Torrie are in the living room making ornaments for the Christmas tree, and Ruby was wrapping last minute gifts. Lita who was reading on the couch got bored and wanders upstairs to see what Angela’s up to.

Lita sighed as she knocked on the door to Angela’s room.

Angela whose in the bathroom sighs, "Come in!" She yells and listens for the door to open and close.

Lita opens the door and walks inside and looks around. The fireplace is lit, as well as several candles and soft music is playing from the stereo. Lita walks to the half open bathroom door, noticing a bucket of ice and a bottle of wine with two glasses set on a table on the other side of the room. She grins as she pushes the door open standing in the doorway looks over at Angela whose sitting infront of a vanity and putting lip gloss on. Lita smiles at her as she walks over and sit down next to her.

"Hey." Angela said glancing at her in the mirror.

Lita smiled, giggling, "Hi. What is all of this?" Lita asked looking at Angela who wore a pair of worn flare jeans and a gray sweater. She was barefoot and her hair was curled, and fell around her.

Angela giggled, "Just getting ready to see Matt!" Angela giggled as she stood and left the bathroom. Lita who sat not knowing what to say finally got to her feet and walked to the doorway turning off the light. Angela was sitting on the edge of her bed putting her cross on. Lita walked over and sighed as she sat down next to her.

"You miss him?" Lita asked staring at Angela. Angela sighed and smiled, as she laid back and closed her eye’s.

"Incredibly!" Angela said softly shivering as she thought of how much she missed Matt.

Lita giggled, "I noticed." Lita said softly as Angela opened her eye’s and laughed.

"Ohh Lita I can’t wait to see him. I want him to hold me in his arms and kiss me and not let go, he makes me feels so happy and safe and I love being with him so much!" Angela said softly closing her eye’s again as she pictured Matt with his strong arms wrapped around her kissing her with his soft sweet lips, she could almost feel it and she sighed.

Lita stood up as Angela opened her eye’s and watched her, "I’m sure you wanna be alone with him when he gets here don’t you!? That’s what all this is for isn’t it?!" Lita asked curiously as Angela giggled excitedly.

"Yeah, I’m wasn’t going to go downstairs to meet him, I might attack him and I don’t want everyone to see us!" Angela said as they both laughed. After they recovered Angela spoke, "I was hoping you could tell him that I’m up here, I wanna surprise him sorta." Angela said softly standing up and looking at Lita.

Lita grinned, "No problem!" She said softly as Angela sighed relieved.

Meanwhile...... Back in the van, Adam turned around looking at Matt who starred out the window looking miserable. "We’ll be there in a minute Matt!" Adam said as Matt sat up excited.

"Yes!!!" Matt chuckled happily, he couldn’t wait to see Angela.

Just as Lita got settled back on the couch. She sat up hearing a horn from outside. She threw the blankets off of her and ran to the big windows over looking the deck and saw Jeff’s van. She yelled excitedly to Jay and Trish in the kitchen that they had arrived.

Molly and Ruby and Torrie dropped what they were doing and ran to the window next to her and watched as the guys got out of the van. Lita laughed as she watched Shane throw and snowball at Jeff who was walking to the back of the van to help unload the suitcases. Lita watched as Jeff grabbed some snow and ran after Shane.

Lita giggled, leaving the window then she walked to the closet and grabbed a pair of her boots and threw her coat on, wrapping her scarf around her neck, she opened the door and ran down the steps of the deck yelling Jeff’s name.

Jeff turned and saw her and dropped the snowball he was holding as he ran to meet Lita. He caught her in his arms and hugged her, she was warm and she felt good. Jeff smiled as she picked her head up and smiled at him. "Merry Christmas Lita!" Jeff whispered smiling.

"Ohh Jeff I missed you!" Lita said softly as Jeff touched her cheek. Jeff smiled as he leaned over and kissed her.

After a few moments Lita laughed against Jeff’s lips and pulled away looking up at him as Shane dropped a huge snowball onto of his head and Lita laughed as Jeff smiled at her and shook the snow off of him and left running after Shane. Chris and Adam had taken off to go inside and Lita turned and looked inside to see Chris and Ruby all over each other and Adam hugging Torrie. Lita giggled as she turned and saw Matt.

"Hey!" Matt said smiling at her.

"Hey Merry Christmas!" Lita said as Matt came toward her and gave her a hug.

"Yeah you two." Matt said letting go of her.

"Come on, its freezing out here, let’s go inside!" Lita said shivering as she took Matt’s gloved hand and started for the lodge. "Come on Jeff! Shane, Molly is waiting for you!?" Lita called after Jeff and Shane. Lita and Matt luaghed watching Jeff who had Shane pinned to the snow throwing snow ball at him.

Once everyone was inside. Matt noticed that Angela wasn’t anywhere in sight.

Matt was sitting infront of the fireplace, trying to get warm. He had decided to wait and give Lita and Jeff a few minutes together before he asked where Angela was.

Lita who was talking to Jeff noticed out of the corner of her eye that Matt was sitting alone waiting. Lita saw him glance at her, after he had greeted everyone. Lita told Jeff she be right back and got up from the chair she was snuggled in with Jeff and walked over sitting next to Matt.

Matt stared at her and sighed. "Well? Where is she?" Matt asked softly anxious to see Angela.

Lita smiled, "She’s up in her room....... she’s dying to see you, you know!?" Lita said smiling at Matt.

Matt grinned, "I’m dying to see her too..... hey give us a little while okay, you know if anyone asks where we are." Matt said as he stood. "I just wanna be alone with her for a little while....." Matt said sighing.

Lita giggled shaking her head as she stood too. "No problem."

"Where’s her room?" Matt asked softly staring at Lita.

Lita smiled, "Its the last room on the left at the top of the stairs...." Lita whispered winking at Matt as he squeezed her hand.

"Thanks...." Matt whispered and went to the stairs.
