Chapter 6

Raven searched the entrance of Spook Woods for almost 45 minutes now. "Oh, Terri, where are you?" he thought aloud. "Why do you always have to act like such a big baby?" That's when it hit him. "That's right. The car. I never thought to check there." Raven went all the way back to the beginning of the woods. The car was right there where they had parked it in the beginning. he walked over to it and peered inside the window.

"Terri?" he called in. There was no one. "This is unbelievable. Where could she have gone?" He thought to himself for a moment. "Ah, whatever. There's nothing around here. I'm gonna go back to the lake and see of Jericho’s found anything. He's close to here."

Raven walked past several trees and saw the shimmer of the lake up ahead. "Man, this place smells funny. What is this, a swamp?" He looked around for Jericho.

"Hello? Chris?" he called. He was walking along the leaf-covered ground when he suddenly tripped over something at his feet. He went flying.

"Whoa. Gosh, what the hell was that?" He slowly got up again and dusted himself off. He turned around to see what he had tripped over. It was shiny and silvery. He picked it up. "Jericho's pendant...what's it doing here? It must've been loose around his neck or something." Raven turned around for a moment. "Now where is he? He wasn't supposed to leave the lake. Oh, well. I guess I'll just wait for him and Matt to come back." He leaned hard into the oak tree behind him. Suddenly, the tree began to shake violently. "Whoa, I didn't realize how delicate this thing is." Just as he said that, two huge objects came flying onto him. He screamed. "What the....?" Raven looked down at them. They were the nude and bruised bodies of Terri and Jericho.

"Ohhhh....oh my God..." Raven was unable to breathe for a minute. Not only was he in absolute terror, but he realized that this was the stench he had noticed earlier. "No way, this can't be! Nooo!!!!" he screamed. Just then, a buzzing noise was heard behind him. He quickly turned around.

"Matt!" he cried, hopefully. But it was not Matt. Raven was face to face with the serial killer. He was staring directly into Raven's eyes, his chainsaw alive and buzzing. There was no way to escape. Raven's life flashed before his very eyes. He never expected to go this way. Now he would never see anyone again. It was over. The serial killer sliced him in half.
