Chapter 21
As May ended Meredith and Jeff became more and more intimate. But during the last week of school they seemed to becoming distant.
"Shane have you seen Meredith?" Jeff asked.
"Last time I saw her was with Alex." Shane replied. Jeff said thanks to Shane, then went looking for Meredith and Alex. He finally found Alex in the parking lot.
"Alex have you seen Meredith?" Jeff asked.
"Yeah like ten, fifteen minutes ago. She said she was going to your house." Alex answered confused.
"That's impossible we were supposed to meet by the lunch room." Jeff said angrily.
He left Alex and headed to his Jeep. He sat in his Jeep and banged on his dash board. Where the hell could she be. Then it dawned on him. He turned on the engine and sped out of the parking lot. Jeff slammed his door shut and headed towards the woods.
"Meredith! I know your here." Jeff yelled. And sure enough Meredith was there smoking a weed.
"Jeff listen...." Meredith started.
"No! You listen, you lied you said you'd quit." Jeff yelled.
"I'm sorry Jeff." Meredith cried.
"You're sorry.....hmmm well I'm sorry too Mer. I can't be with someone who lies. Bye Meredith." Jeff said walking away. He got in his Jeep and Meredith was in front of his Jeep pleading with him. Jeff reversed and sped off.
