Chapter 13
Jeff knocked on the door to Jamie’s hotel door lightly. He heard some shuffling inside, then the door opened slowly. Jamie smiled at seeing Jeff standing there.
“Hey,” she said softly, moving aside so Jeff could walk into the room.
‘Hi,” Jeff said, kissing her lips softly then studied her face, “are you ok… you look like you’ve been crying.
“I’m fine,” Jamie answered softly, biting her lower lip.
“You want to try telling me what happened?” Jeff asked with a laugh, “you’re a pretty awful liar.”
Jamie smiled weakly, “it’s no big deal. I just… I had a little conversation with Matt in the hall and… it just, it didn’t go too well.”
“What’d he say?” Jeff asked worried, taking Jamie’s hands in his own and leading her to the bed.
“Just how… he doesn’t think we’re good together,” Jamie said softly, “and he doesn’t think I’m good enough for you.”
“He’s such an asshole…” Jeff mumbled standing up aggravated, “I can’t believe he’d say that to you. What the hell is his problem?!”
Jeff stopped and looked at Jamie, who was looking intently at her hands clasped in her lap. He sat down softly next to her and placed his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to him.
“I’m sorry,” Jeff whispered, leaning his head on Jamie’s, “I’m sorry you don’t deserve that shit from Matt.”
“It’s ok, it’s my fault,” Jamie whispered back, feeling Jeff pull her closer.
“No, it’s not,” Jeff said standing up and leaning on the dresser across the room, looking at Jamie, “I don’t know what Matt’s problem is, but it’s not you…”
“If it weren’t for me…” Jamie started.
“If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be happy right now,” Jeff interrupted, a small smile appearing on his lips, “if it weren’t for you I’d be walking around feeling empty inside. Do you understand how much I care about you? And nobody’s going to tell me how to feel, including my brother.”
“But…” Jamie said, but was once again interrupted by Jeff.
“But what?” Jeff asked softly, he opened his arms, “come here.”
Jamie stood up slowly and wrapped her arms around Jeff’s stomach, burying her head in his chest and taking a deep breath. She felt his arms wrap around her.
“Seriously Jamie, don’t worry about Matt,” Jeff said softly, taking her hand and leading her to the bed.
“So what brings you here?” Jamie asked, sitting next to Jeff, holding his hand
“Just came to say goodnight,” Jeff answered with a smile.
“Oh,” Jamie nodded, “Well… good night.”
“Night,” Jeff said standing up, but not letting go of Jamie’s hand.
“You don’t have to go Jeff,” Jamie said, holding onto Jeff’s hand and biting her lower lip, “I mean… you can stay for the night.”
“I don’t wanna crowd you…” Jeff said slowly, as a small smirk appeared on his lips.
“Believe me,” Jamie said, standing up and taking both his hands, “It’s not crowding at all.”
“Well in that case…” Jeff started, but trailed off as he placed his lips gently against Jamie’s.
He felt her hands let go of his and travel to his shoulders, then wrapped her arms around his neck as the kiss intensified. Jeff let his hands wander up and down Jamie’s back as he moved his lips from her lips to her neck. He heard her sigh as he placed small nibbles below her ear and smiled.
His lips wandered back to Jamie’s lips, as he felt Jamie’s hands travel down to his waist and pull at the hem of the white t-shirt he was wearing. He moved his hands down to Jamie’s and helped her remove the shirt, revealing Jeff’s smoothly sculpted body. Jamie let her hands wander over his chest and abs as he worked at removing Jamie’s shirt.
“Jamie,” Jeff whispered as he placed soft kisses on her neck.
“Yeah,” she whispered back, biting her lip, trying to hold back a sigh that threatened to escape her lips.
.
“Are you sure?” he asked, “I don’t want to force you into anything…”
“Shh..” she said softly, placing her finger over his lips with a grin, “I’ve never been so sure…”
Jeff cupped her face in his hands and kissed her lips gently as she walked backwards and climbed onto the bed, tucking her knees under her and looking up at Jeff with an eager smile.
Jeff laughed as he climbed onto the bed and kissed Jamie gently, letting his hands travel over every inch of her body. He felt her shiver and could feel goose bumps on her arm.
“You ok?” Jeff asked, moving his lips from hers, but keeping his face close to hers as he pushed a strand of her hair back.
“Yeah,” Jamie nodded, “It’s been along time since I’ve been with somebody… and I’m just a little nervous.”
“Don’t be,” Jeff said softly, stroking her cheek with his finger, “we don’t have to do anything Jamie. Just holding you in my arms is good enough.”
“Really?” Jamie whispered surprised, feeling relief wash over her as she realized Jeff wasn’t expecting anything.
“Of course,” Jeff said with a laugh, “Jamie, I care about you. We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.”
Jamie’s smile grew wider as she wrapped her arms around Jeff and kissed him deeply. She pulled away with a small smile and nodded.
“Jeff, I want to,” she whispered.
“You sure?” Jeff asked with a small grin.
“What you just said is what I wanted to hear,” Jamie replied, “I’m sure.”
“Well in that case,” Jeff said with a laugh, grabbing Jamie around the waist and pulling her into a passionate kiss.
Jamie sighed contently as she felt her back hit the bed. She opened her eyes to see Jeff looking at her with a smile.
“What are you looking at?” Jamie asked with a giggle.
“You,” Jeff said softly, pushing a strand of hair out of her face, “you’re so beautiful.”
Jamie felt her cheeks blush as she let out a small laugh. Looking into Jeff’s green eyes that stared back into hers she felt speechless. She felt short of breath as the realization that she was falling in love hit her. As she stared at Jeff, looking down at her, she realized that she was falling head over heels in love.
“Are you sure you’re ok,” Jeff asked noticing Jamie’s sudden shortness of breath and expression on her face.
To Jeff’s surprise, Jamie smiled and reached up, grabbing the back of his neck and pulled him closer to herself.

Jamie held Jeff’s hands that were wrapped around her naked stomach later that night. She felt his warm breath against the back of her neck.
“Jeff?” she whispered through the darkness, not sure if he was asleep or not.
“Mhmm…” he whispered back sleepily and contently.
She slowly rolled over so she and Jeff were nose to nose, their bodies touching slightly. Jeff rubbed his hand up and down Jamie’s bare arm, as he kissed her lips softly.
“You’re not like other guys Jeff,” Jamie said quietly.
“I hear that a lot,” Jeff said with a small laugh.
“I’m serious Jeff,” Jamie answered, staring into his eyes, “You make me feel special.”
“You are,” Jeff said pulling her close to him.
“You make me feel like that there’s nothing more important then me when we’re together,” Jamie continued.
“There isn’t,” Jeff said, shutting his eyes softly.
Jamie fell Jeff fall asleep. The smell of Jeff on her skin, and his soft breath on her face. Jamie shut her eyes as she too, fell into a peaceful sleep.
