Chapter 2
Jeff stopped the bike in front of the crowded bar. Hopping off he took off his helmet and helped Jamie climb off.
Jeff watched as she took off her helmet and shook out her blond hair. She was so amazing looking.
“You ready to go in?” he asked after a moment.
He watched her smooth the short black skirt, “Sure. Are you sure I look ok for a bar?”
“You look great, let’s go,” he said taking her hand and leading her into the bar.

“What do you drink?” Jeff asked as they walked up to the bar.
“Whatever you’re drinking,” she replied, leaning against the bar.
“Two beers,” Jeff told the bartender as he handed him a $20 dollar bill.
“You do drink beer, don’t you?” Jeff asked turning to Jamie after the bartender handed him his change and beers.
She rolled her eyes, “Yes Jeff, I drink beer.”
He grinned as he handed her a bottle, “You’re cute you know that?”
“Umm… Thanks,” she said blushing and taking a sip of the beer.
Jeff nodded as he looked around the bar, a few people looked at him as the famous WWF superstar, but most people around there saw him as Jeff Hardy, the southern boy who had been born and raised there.
“Jeff Hardy,” he heard a voice call him. He turned around to see a big blonde guy walking towards them.
“Hey Brandon,” Jeff said hugging the guy, “what have you been up to?”
“Same old thing,” the guy said, “You’ve been pretty busy.”
Jeff nodded his head, “Yeah, pretty busy. By the way Jamie this is Brandon, we went to high school together.”
“Nice to meet you,” Jamie said shaking his hand.
“Some of the guys and I got a pool table in the back if you guys want to join us,” Brandon said looking from Jamie to Jeff.
“I’d like to but…” Jeff started to say.
“Sure,” Jamie interrupted,Jeff smiled at her.
“Great, come on back,” Brandon said leading them to the back of the bar. Jeff was greeted with yells and high fives. Jeff quickly introduced Jamie to the group of guys.
“You wanna play?” Jeff asked picking up a pool stick.
“That’s ok,” Jamie said sitting on a stool, “I’ll just watch.”
Jamie watched for the next couple of minutes as Jeff and his friends played. She sighed as she looked at her watch, then at her empty beer bottle.
“I’m gonna run back up to the bar, anyone want anything?” Jamie asked standing up.
“I’ll go,” Jeff offered putting down his pool stick and walking towards her.
“That’s sweet Jeff, but I can do it. Want anything?"
Jeff shook his head, “No thanks.”
With a nod she turned around and made her way to the front of the crowded bar, she looked back at Jeff who was intently talking to one of his friends.
“1 beer,” she told the bartender as she reached the bar.
“ID?” the bartender asked.
Jamie sighed as she pulled out her driver’s license. No matter where she went she always got carded, she hated it.
“Sorry,” the bartender said handing her back the license, “but we gotta do it.”
“I know,” Jamie said leaning on the bar, the bartender handed her the bottle as she handed him the money. She smiled politely at him as she sat at the bar for another minute sipping her drink.
“Excuse me,” a voice behind her said.
She turned around so she was facing a tall, tan brunette. His eyes watching her every move.
“Yes?” she asked raising her eyebrow.
“I just wanted to tell you that you have got the greatest set of legs I have ever seen,” the guy said, his eyes looking up and down her body.
“Um…” Jamie said, looking down, feeling uncomfortable by his gaze.
“I’m Garret,” the guy said, sticking out his hand.
Jamie looked up and smirked, “I’m not interested.”
“Ooo,” the guy said with a smile, “a challenge.”
“No, not a challenge,” Jamie corrected him smartly, crossing her arms over her chest, “I’m just something you’ll never get.”
“Ow! You don’t seem like you’d be the sassy type. But I like it.”
“I’m glad you’re enjoying it, but I’m leaving,” she said picking up her beer can and walking away.
“Sweetie,” the guy said catching up to her and cutting her off, “All I’m asking for is maybe a number or something.”
“Then you’re asking for a little too much,” she said annoyed, and a little afraid. This guy was easily twice her size.
“Let me buy you another drink."
She held up her beer bottle, “Got one. Now if you’ll excuse me…”
“No,” the guy demanded, “I’m not letting you leave till I get a number or something.”
Jamie felt her legs shake as fear started to overtake her. The guy was starting to be a little more aggressive. She took a deep breath, “be calm,” she told herself, “don’t back down. Don’t show him you’re scared.”
“You want a number?” she asked, “Try 476- Fuck off. Now leave me alone.”
“I’m getting sick of your games,” the guy said inching closer to her.
Jamie felt fear overtake her as the man loomed over her. He was so much bigger than her…
“Is there a problem here?” Jamie heard a male voice say. She looked up and saw Jeff standing there. The guy looked at Jeff. He knew better than to piss off a wrestler.
“No, no problem,” the guy said backing away, “Just making conversation with the lady.”
Jeff nodded his head, “It looked a little more like you were threatening.”
“No, of course not,” the guy said holding up his hands, “I would never… It was all a big misunderstanding…” the guys voice trailed away as he backed up, “I’m really sorry man, I didn’t know she was with you…”
“Just leave,” Jeff said sternly. The guy nodded his head and walked away sheepishly.
“You ok?”
“Yeah,” she said taking a deep breath, “that was quite impressive. Thanks.”
“Anytime,” Jeff smiled, “You ready to get going?”
“Yeah...Let’s get out of here.”
