Chapter 3

Jeff pulled his motorcycle in front of a white colonial house, he quickly hopped off and helped Jamie off.

“This is where you live?” Jeff asked looking at the house, “it’s really nice.”

“Thanks,” she said with a grin, “I like it enough, the first place of my own.”

“Let me walk to you to the door,” Jeff said offering her his arm.

Jamie smiled and quickly took his arm as they walked towards the front door.

“I had a really good time,” Jamie said as they reached the door, “thanks.”

“You’re welcome,” Jeff said, “I had fun too. Do you think I could call you sometime?”

“Definitely,” Jamie answered as she quickly dug into her purse for a piece of paper and a pen.

She quickly scribbled down the number and handed it to him. Their hands touched softly, Jamie felt chills go down her spine.

“I’ll give you a call tomorrow,” Jeff said placing the piece of paper carefully in his pocket.

“Great,” she replied, “Well, good night Jeff.”

“Good night Jamie,” he said as he took her hand and gently placed his lips to it.

She blushed and turned around to unlock the door. She heard Jeff turn around and make his way down the walkway.

“Jeff?” she said turning around and looking at him. Even in the darkness she could make out his green eyes that were looking back at her.

“Yeah?” he asked jogging back towards her.

“You didn’t try and kiss me,” she said looking at him with curiosity. She watched his lips turn up into a smile.

“My dad always taught me to be a gentlemen,” Jeff answered, “You don’t kiss a women until she looks ready. You don’t look ready. But I’m sure you will soon. Night.”

Jamie watched him turn around and walk to his bike. Her heart beat as she watched him. She felt her hands shaking; she had never felt this way about someone before.

“Jeff,” she called again as she quickly made her way to him. He turned around, confusion filling his soulful green eyes.

“Yeah?” he asked looking at Jamie as she inched closer.

She quickly reached up, closed her eyes, and placed her lips softly on Jeff’s. She pulled away a few seconds later and studied Jeff’s face as he opened his eyes and looked at her.

“Thanks,” she whispered as she turned around and finally went into her house.

Jeff stood in silence as he watched the door close. He quickly ran his tongue against his upper lip, still tasting her kiss on him. He smiled thoughtfully; he knew he had to be with this girl.
