The FILES Command

Description:

Specifies the number of files that MS-DOS can access at one time.

Command Syntax:

FILES=x

Explanation of Syntax:

x specifies the number of files that MS-DOS can access at one time. Valid values for x are in the range 8 through 255. The default value is 8.

Command Use:

This command can only be used in the config.sys file.
