Welcome To Page 2 Of The Country Corner

Hello again friends and welcome to page 2 of the Country Corner glad you could stop in and set a spell with us.Here on the farm you will get to meet some more of the "critters" that run around down here.they're good little "critters" they kinda livin' the place up a bit....... The first little critter that I would like to introduce you to is"Bangles" a cute little racoon that likes to play his fiddle.and pretty good at it too... ..........AIN'T HE A CUTIE?....... We have all kinds of little critters here on the farm and we are all glad for the company.On special occasions when the family drops in to visit they like to put on thier "Sunday Best" and just strut thier stuff.They think that everybody just stopped in to see them... they're not too far from the truth either...... For those of you that are not familiar with life on the farm....it's a little different from life in the city.Here we grow our own vegetables and the chickens provide our eggs.Sometimes our work is never done.early to rise and early to bed.................................... It is a little unhandy at times..living all the way out here in the country... but it's the piece and quite that make it worth while..with nothing but the birds and the animals ......no noisy traffic or loud sirens...to keep us awake,the only thing here to rouse you up out of a deep sleep is maybe a Whipperwill.or the Hootowls...... And sometimes the occasional call of nature in the middle of the night....now that can be "real unhandy"....especially in the dead of winter when we have a few feet of snow on the ground.so we get up and find the old lantern and off we go.. ................................... See I told you it was different here in the country................ But like I said ......it does have it's rewards..like when we have friends and neighbors over for the annual "shindigs" Everyone takes thier turn singing old favorite tunes and dancing,even the animals join in on the fun...... We like to sing country music and just have a good time....sometimes we are still going strong till way up into the next morning ...after working the farm all week that is how we relax on the weekends....you are invited to stop by and join us for some downhome fun...you will get to hear songs like these...... Here in the country we like to make our own quilts and things .....you're welcome to join us ladys for the quilting party....when someone gets "hitched" or has a new "yungin'" we make them a quilt.........there ain't nothing like friends.......................... As some of us get a little older...we find that we are not as spry as we used to be .....for a look at a humorous outlook at growing "younger" click onA Letter To You Life here on the farm for us is a peacefull little setting with the animals and all the shade trees.... after a hard days work putting up the hay,feeding the animals,hoeing out the garden.and doing the laundry..we like to sit out on the front porch and just relax and listen to the night creatures.the bullfrogs,crickets.jarflys and of course we have to swat the occasional pesky "skeeters". If you have never been down on a farm... then you have no idea what "country cooking" tastes like.we like to cook meals down here that will"stick to your ribs"....like fried "tators";corn bread;soup beans;corn on the cob;..... sounds like good eatin' hugh?....here are some of my favorite links for good cooking....give them a visit.......
