A NETWORK OF AFRICAN AMERICAN EDUCATORS WHO PROVIDE AN ACTIVE VOICE ON KEY EDUCATIONAL ISSUES AND ON THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICAN AMERICAN CHILDREN
The PURPOSE of MABSE
The purpose of MABSE is to promote and facilitate the education of Black Students; and to establish a coalition of Black educators and others directly or indirectly involved in the educational process; to create a forum for the exchange of ideas and strategies to improve educational opportunities for Blacks. To ensure that all black students are provided opportunities, which will assure them a full measure of academic skills, cultural and social awareness so that they may participate fully in the economic, political, technological and social processes. The organization shall identify resources to achieve it's purpose.
The GOALS of MABSE
EACH MEMBER SHOULD SELECT A COMMITTEE ON WHICH TO SERVE.
Fundraising
Design and execute programs that provide scholarships for African American students.
Mentorship
Provide a support system for African American students, educators, parents and the African American Community.
Parent/Community Involvement
Initiate parental involvement that will ensure parental empowerment.
Program
Plan for speakers, special events, programs for membership meetings,etc.
Research & Development/Standards
Monitor and assess programs that affect students. Establish processes to share information.

The educated individual is the adapted person, because she or he is better "fit" for the world. Translated into practice, this concept is well suited to the purposes of the oppressors, whose tranquility rests on how well people fit the world the oppressors have created, and how little they question it.
