Have you ever had a someone in your life
who you knew from the start
Would turn out to be your best friend
who really touched your heart?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who is open and honest with you,
Where there are no hidden secrets
only feelings honest and true?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who you'll never have to fear,
There's no rejection or criticism
just words you need to hear?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who always knew just what to say
No matter what you talk about
on any particular day?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who really understands what you feel,
Who always seems to be there
to help you cope and deal?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who you wish lived next door,
To just have a cup of coffee
or maybe do something more?
Have you ever had someone in your life
who makes you feel so good,
A part of them grows deep in your heart
as you knew they would?
I feel so very blessed, for I have these
friends you see...
Who will always reside within my heart
where ever they may be.
Without these special people
I don't know where I'd be,
For they have shown me how to love
to make a better me.

If I call you friend,
You will always share a piece of my heart.
I will always pride myself,
To always be true to you.
As much as I need friends,
So must you. I will also share a place in your heart,
To be there whenever you need me.
I may not be there in flesh,
But I will always be there in spirit.
I will cope with your moods,
And try to understand your needs.
When you are happy,
I will laugh with you.
As sadness overwhelms you,
We will cry together.
If you feel down and kicked,
I will pick you up and brush away your doubts.
When you think you can't continue,
I will remind you that you can.
As you become discouraged,
I will boost your ego high.
At times when you wish to talk,
My attention will be all yours.
Being a friend I don't take lightly,
It's my desire, never a chore.
At times when you must mourn,
I shall mourn with you.
If you need some silence, yet not be alone,
We will sit together in the peace of quiet.
When you wish to play,
You will always have a playmate.
When you feel on top of the world,
I’ll pat your back and tell you,
you deserve to be.
You will never be completely alone,
A piece of me will always be with you.
One thing I can always give,
Is the gift of friendship for you to accept.
Allow our friendship to make you smile,
Bring joy to your life as you have to mine.
When you become confused and lose your way,
Let me guide you in the right direction.
Lean on me when you need support,
Let me share your sorrow and pain.
What good can a friend really be,
If you can't understand we will always care.
If I call you friend,
You will always know,
A friend you have in me.
If the world were blind,
maybe then we'd see
the true side of beauty,
deep within you and me.
No one could judge us
by our outer looks,
like the fancy covers
on expensive books.
We'd see with our hearts,
and not just our eyes,
and what we discover
might be a surprise.
There would be no need
to try to impress,
with the way we look,
or the way that we dress.
The only thing that would matter
is the way we would feel,
not phoney or cheap,
but truthful and real.

Don't ever try to understand everything~
some things will just never make sense.
Don't ever be reluctant to show
your feelings~
when you are happy, give in to it!
when you are not, live with it.
Don't ever be afraid
to try to make things better~
you might be surprised at the results.
Don't ever feel threatened by the future~
take life one day at a time.
Don't ever feel guilty about the past~
what's done it;s done, Learn from
any mistakes you might have made....
Don't ever feel that you are alone~
there is always somebody there for you
to reach out to.
Don't ever forget that you can achieve
so many of the things you can imagine~
imagine that!! It's not as hard as it seems.

LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE
Too often we don't realize
What we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong".
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
We hold dearest to hour hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.
Far too many times we let
Unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
To see what made us blind.
So be sure that you let people know
How much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
Before your time is through.
Be sure that you appreciate
Everything you've got
And be thankful for
The Little Things in Life
that mean a lot.
Love Isn't So Much Looking
Into Each Other's Eyes,
As Looking Into Each Other's Heart...
It's Not Just Dreaming Dreams Together,
But Following Those Dreams Hand In Hand.
A treasure to be cherished,
A gift from God above;
Is the beauty of a friendship,
Touched by unconditional love.
A love that asks no questions,
Believes in all the best;
Never doubting, ever trusting,
Withstanding any test.
A love the weathers any storm,
And yet that love still stands;
Through the very darkest hour,
It still reaches out a hand.
There in that hand the sweetest gift,
That you can give a friend;
A heart that cares, a love that shares,
That will be there till the end.
A treasure to be cherished,
A gift from God above;
Is what I share with you my friend,
An unconditional love.
