Halloween News 'N Notes

Corey "Humperdink" Pinkham plans on dressing up as New England Patriots Quarterback, Tom Brady this Halloween. How he plans on pulling that off has yet to be determined however. Now, most people will not get the irony of this, but it really is quite funny. See Corey is famous for being Puerto Rican and Canadian. Get it yet? Tom Brady....Puerto Rican and Canadian, Get it? Oh the irony.

In other news, World Class swimmer, Hakmeng Kang might make his Halloween Foosball debut this year. Reached for comment at his college, the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Hakmeng said "I might."

The New York Yankees lost tonight to the Anaheim Angels and now trail in their divisional series, two games to one. The last time the Yankees failed to make the World Series, Greg defeated Steve in the finals of the Halloween Foosball Tournament. But the real reason I wanted to mention is to rub it in to any Yankee fans out there. But to be fair and rub it in to Angels fans, the last time Anaheim won a playoff series....oops! That never happened.

A Halloween related note? A ghost was recently spotted on television. My apologies for sending out an inside joke that only Steve understands.

Ok, now that I've given you time, have you figured out the Corey-Tom Brady connection? here's a clue thanks to ESPN.com

Jim is back in Lowell for the weekend. Expect a lot of preparation for the big tournament to be taking place. Part of that preparation could include the setting up of the foosball table which has been disassembled since late summer. Jim admits the deicision to move the foodball table outdoors over the summer might not have been the best idea, but "It was creative, next time we'll know better, but I don't regret the idea."

In 1995, the Montreal Expos drafted a catcher out of high school from San Mateo, California in the 18th round of the Major League Baseball draft. That player instead opted to play football at the University of Michigan.

That player was Super Bowl MVP, Tom Brady. Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos. Next year, the Expos may play games not only in Canada, but also, as the article at ESPN.com says, Puerto Rico. Get it?

Either that or Corey just likes Tom Brady....
