Halloween Foosball News 'N Notes

YANKEES LOSE!! TH-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E YANKEES LOSE!!

The Biggest Halloween Foosball Tournament News of the day is while the tournament is going on, the New York Yankees' season will already be over. This will be the first time since 1997 that this is the case.

Slow news this weekend(that is why I am consolidating the friday-sunday edition of the daily news n notes), but one item of interest: Keith Ouellette has demanded that he be added to the list of confirmed attendees for the 2002 Halloween Foosball Tournament. He will be, and hopefully Keith can improve on his 2001 performance where he snapped a personal 4 game losing streak by advancing to the second round for the first time since 1997.

Keith's brother, Greg will be back in Lowell next Friday. He's expected to help in the preparation of the tournament. Jim will of course be back in Lowell over the Columbus day weekend. With only a few weekends left, he expects Columbus day weekend to be huge.

No news on whether any Native American groups are expected to boycott the Columbus day weekend preparation for the tournament.

Several recent conversations have taken place between James Higson and James Ostis. However, there has yet to be any confirmation whatsoever, whether Steve's former cut man will return to the foosball arena on October 26th.

Sothey Long, who because of an engagement missed last year's tournament, has taken steps towards avoiding missing this year's extravaganza. Sothey said he would request the day of the tournament off from work. Many will remember it was The Legendary Chuck's refusal to ask for a day off from work last year that ended his streak of appearing in every single Halloween Foosball Tournament. Sothey last competed in 2000, where he lost to his good friend, and former/current co-worker, Wilson Rith in the first round.
