Halloween Foosball News 'N Notes

Online Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournaments will be back in 2002. The only problem is the brackets have yet to be set. Jim said, "Last year at this time, we already had the tournaments set up. The biggest problem with last year's tournament was the lack of time, and we stand to have even less time this year. Nonetheless, I'm hoping to have the celebrity tournament up by the middle of the week. I'm not sure about the Virtual HFT, although I am now leaning towards holding it again. I do not expect the Bartlett teachers tournament to be held again this year at this point in time. As for last year's finalses, I think I will hold the voting online this year right up until the finals."

Keith will be happy to see this. As promised, we are supplying a The Halloween Foosball Committee is welcoming any suggestions for celebrities to take part in the 2002 Celebrity Online Halloween Foosball Tournament. This year will likely feature all new celebrities.

More on the Steve vs. Angel rivalry. There's a chance that this is not based on fantasy football, but actual football. Don't forget that Steve and Angel were co-captains on their teams in The Big Game last year (The Mr. Cyrs & Greg Angel Yackadoodles respectively). When discussing the game, Steve said, "We didn't just beat them, we killed them." A page dedicated to that game is in the works as we speak. That should also be up by the end of the week.

Although I maybe should be saying this in the Fantasy Football News, the Halloween Foosball Tournament is taking time away from Fantasy Football and I apologize for that. There will still be at least two newsletters each week, (the lack of a week 5 preview was an exception), as well as any breaking news concerning a trade or something.

One thing that has been noticed is the recent lack of good news about the players in the tournament compared to last year. One of the biggest reasons is the lack of Mrs. Peters' class. Last year, her class was the source of many Halloween Foosball related notes. And that IS the problem!!

Patrick Casserly has been challened by James Ostis to participate in a political debate as part of the pre-tournament festivities. Pat has yet to either accept or reject the challenge, only saying "What is there to debate?" If it were to take place, it would follow in the tradition of random things such as the infamous Humperdink Trial of two years ago. If Patrick were to choose not to acept the challenge, Jim would possibly considered offering the challenge to Greg. The subject of that debate: "The Yankees Suck Chant" Jim believes its part of Red Sox tradition, and the rivalry. Greg believes it is because of an inferiority complex and there is no rivalry between the Yankees and Red Sox. I also expect Drew Bledsoe (who's on pace to shatter Dan Marino's record for passing yards) would be brought up in the debate if it were to take place.

Keith would be pleased to see this. As was promised to him, here is a link to his website. Its also interesting to note that former Halloween Foosball competitor, Lena Mendonca also has a link to Keith's website at her page. No word on how Greg feels about that. But do go check out Keith's page, especially if you are really really bored.

The self-proclaimed "manager" of the "Mystery Person" has posted in the Halloween Foosball Guestbook. Go sign the guestbook and then check it out. There may be a hint as Steve points out, the manager may have slipped by referring himself as the "Mystery Man's
