Halloween Foosball News 'N Notes

He's Back! James Higson today announced his intentions of attending the 2002 Halloween Foosball Tournament. The controversial cut man didn't say much, but he did say in no uncertain terms, "I will be there." Higson did not attend the 2001 Halloween Foosball Tournament because of a dance in Dracut. He has a lifetime HFT record of 0-2, but was instrumental in Steve's victory over Corey in the 1999 Finals.

James Higson actually was ranked dead last among active players under the new JGRSIII. The heavy emphasis on last year and his 0-2 record may have hurt him. Another person who is hurt by the new emphasis on the previous year is The Legendary Chuck, Higson's opponent in the finals of the 2001 Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournament. There is still no word on whether or not The Legend shall return in 2002.

The voting the Celebrity Online Halloween Foosball Tournament has begun! The first votes were recorded about an hour early at 11:00 PM Tuesday night. To prevent some of the controversy that accompanied the 2001 Edition, all the dates of each round will be set ahead of time. Those dates have yet to be set however.

Sources have said that talks did indeed go on between Jim and his brother Steve about forming a brother-brother tandem to take on the Ouellette brothers, Keith and Greg. However nothing has been confirmed and sources close to Steve say he is more inclined to stay with his doubles partner from a year ago, Corey.

Several competitors in the Celebrity Halloween Foosball Tournament were suggested by Halloween Foosball players themselves. Steve suggested Denzel Washington. Mandy Moore's inclusion in the tournament is thanks to Sothey. Wilson has two of his ideas in the tournament; Jet Li and Antonio Banderas.
