Here are the Halloween News N Notes for Wednesday October 10th.
Angel Nales dropped a bombshell announcement when he said he wasn't playing on entering the 6th annual Halloween Foosball Tournament. Instead he wants to "oversee" it, and I assume concentrate on his football game. James Ostis , a member of the 3 person Halloween Foosball Committee has gone on the record as saying he hopes Angel rethinks his position, but added that its ultimately his choice to enter or not. Angel actually has some experience in "overseeing" stuff, he was the Hon. Judge Angel Nales during last year's (in)famous Humperdink trial.
Angel may not be in the tournament this year, but great news: The Legendary Chuck has all but confirmed he will enter his 6th tournament. Only Jim, Steve, and Greg have had as many tournament appearances and Chuck is also famous for being tied with Patrick for having the most losses in Halloween Foosball History. In 1999 he earned the moniker, "The Legendary Chuck", which has stuck since.
Meanwhile during training for the tournament, a new "dancing dude" has emerged and is expected to make a big appearance at the Halloween. The Dancing Dude's music is "Play that Funky Music White Boy."
Meanwhile the Online Halloween Foosball Tournaments are going along pretty well. Already people are making predictions as to who will win it all. Not surprisingly, Greg, Jim, Corey and Steve are favored to be the final 4 in the regular tournament, but you never know. Also, the #27 seed James Higson is shutting out the #6 seed, Billy Gendron. This despite the facts that Higson has yet to win a game and Billy, a former semi-finalist was rumored to be making a return in 2001 a few weeks back.

The circular piece of wood to be used as the trophy in the 2001 Halloween Foosball Tournament is expected to be picked tomorrow. As has been the tradition since the inagural tournament in 1996, the Halloween Foosball Trophy is a circular piece of wood. This year, Keith has designed both a runner's up trophy for the person who finishes 2nd and a champion scorekeeper . Neither trophy is officially recognized or endorsed by the Halloween Foosball Committee.
The Halloween Foosball Tournament Soundtrack is still in production. Music expected to be on the CD includes: What is Love? Eye of the Tiger, and 2 versions of Ptolemy's theme, and much more. The CD case will also be very cool, so look for that to be ready by October 27.

And in our last story of the evening, congratulations go out to the Hitmen, once again the champions of Bartlett Fantasy Baseball after defeating the Angels in a controversial World Series. This marks the 4th straight World championship for the club. We are The Champions....AGAIN!!!
