The Halloween Foosball World was saddened by the news that Chuck Allen would not be able to attened the 2001 tournament. The Legendary Chuck had been there since the tournament's inception in 1996. Chuck's record may be 3-5, but his achievements in Foosball are legendary. In 1996, Chuck lost to Jim in a first round game. In 1997, Chuck's sister, Sara claimsed to have beaten champion Greg, but Chuck did win in that tournament, defeating Paul!!!! Then after he beat Paul, Chuck lost to Greg, as Greg went on to win the tournament. the Legendary Chuck was back for more in 1998, but it was merely a cameo appearance, as Dale upset him, and then went on to lose to Greg. Upset after a winless 98, Chuck came back and defeated Keith in 1999. Keith got off to a 4-0 lead (largely to Chuck's own fault,) but Chuck staged the comeback and won the game 5-4. Then Keith's brother, yes Greg, again, beat the legendary Chuck.
2001 was deja vu all over again for the Legendary Chuck. Once again Chuck was paired up against Keith his rival of many years, but this time TLC (The Legendary Chuck) was the one who got off to a 4-0 lead. And Chuck won 5-4!! But as Miss Almeida might say, "guess what" Chuck faced Greg once again in the 2nd round, and once again, Greg defeated the Legend. Will Chuck return in 2002? We have yet to find that out. No matter what happens, the Legend will always live on.
