Apologies
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to say youre sorry.
Maybe you just brush it off.
Maybe you try to show it instead of uttering the words 'im sorry'.
It takes a lot of courage to suck up your pride and utter those two simple words.
People react differently when they hear the words 'im sorry'.
Many forgive, recognizing the courage it took to say im sorry.
Others dont forgive.
They repeatedly hear the words im sorry but dont forgive.
Maybe they will come through in a few months, apologizing for waiting so long.
But how do you know when apologies are sincere?
Its just a matter of trust.
You may have felt betrayal and arent ready to trust them.
Was the fight over someone stealing a boyfriend/girlfriend?
Spilling a huge secret? Blackmailing you?
Or was it as simple as an AIM warning or reporting you on AOL?
Putting you on a hitlist that had a disclaimer? (just had to include that.)
Not inviting you to a party?
Maybe they had a good reason for doing what they did.
Did you ask? Did they answer? Would they even listen?
Is it you? Is it them?
Try to decide who's being unreasonable.
If it's you, try to listen.
If it's not you, what can you do?
