this is a very old website and over the years its become a bit disheveled.i think there is some valuable information so i hesitate to remove it. forgive me!................ Ramana.: Yes. When you see God in all, do you think of God or do you not?
You should certainly keep God in your mind for seeing God all round you.
Keeping God in your mind becomes dhyana. Dhyana is the stage before
realization. Realization is in the Self only. Dhyana must
precede it. Whether you make dhyana of God or of Self, it is immaterial.
The goal is the same.
But you cannot escape the Self. You want to see God in all, but not in
yourself? If all are God, are you not included in that all? Yourself being
God, it is a wonder that all are God? There must be a seer and thinker for
even the practice. Who is he? 30 Sept 1926 # 154
Atman
Brahman Before we can
even begin to
understand the way to Self-Knowledge, it is necessary to understand the
concept of Atman. In our reading, this particular passage sums up the
basic definition of Atman and the quest for Brahman: The word "Atman"
is generally rendered here as "Soul" or "Self."
The Sanskrit word really cannot be translated. Atman is
the deathless, birthless, eternal, and real Substance in every individual.
The goal of life for the spiritual being is God Realization which includes
complete Self Knowledge and a Complete
Knowledge of the Universe. This
website is devoted
to my Guru Baba Hari Dass and all
the brilliant
Beings in form and out of form who have guided me on my spiritual path.
The
Chakras
are energy centers along the spine representing the levels of
consciousness. They are sensed and seen as spinning discs, wheels of
radiating energy, vibrations, sounds, and balls of light.
Chakras pick up cosmic vibrations and distribute them throughout the body
in the nadis (energy channels). According to Tantric texts,
Kundalini, the divine cosmic energy in our bodies, lies coiled like
a snake at the base of our spinal column in muladhara chakra. There are
three and a half coils in the snake which represent the three states of
mind, awake, dreaming and in deep sleep. The last half of the coil
represents a combination of all three which trancends the others.
Kundalini is awakened by the practice of yoga, pranayama
and other practices. As it ascends up the spine, energy blockages
are cleared. It ascends up through the nadis. After
piercing the intervening chakras, it finally unites wit the Supreme Soul,
realization of the higher Self occurs. It is called yoga, union
with God, or Samadhi. For more info

To
penetrate into the essence of all being and significance
and to release
the fragrance of that inner attainment for the guidance and benefit of
others- by expressing, in the world of forms, truth, love, purity, and
beauty-this is the sole game that has intrinsic and absolute worth. All
other happenings, incidents, and attainments in themselves can have no
lasting importance"

"Abide
in the Self" Ramana Maharshi
"When
I met my Guru, he told me: "You are not what you take yourself
to be. Find out what you are. Watch the sense 'I am', find your real Self." I obeyed him, because I trusted him. I did as he told me. All
my spare time I would spend looking at myself in silence. And what a difference it made, and how
soon! My teacher told me to hold on to the sense 'I am' tenaciously and not to swerve from it even for a moment. I did my best to follow his
advice and in a comparatively short time I realized within myself the truth of his teaching. All I did was to remember his teaching, his face, his words constantly. This brought an end to the mind; in the
stillness of the mind I saw myself as I am unbound. I simply followed (my teacher's) instruction which was to focus the mind on pure being 'I am', and stay in it. I used to sit for hours
together, with nothing but the 'I am' in my mind and soon peace and joy and a deep all-embracing love became my normal state. In it all
disappeared -- myself, my Guru, the life I lived, the world around me. Only peace remained and unfathomable silence."

The
goal of life is to attain perfection, immortality or God. The nearer one
approaches the Truth, the happier one becomes. For, the essential nature
of Truth is positive, absolute bliss. There is no bliss in the finite.
Bliss is only in the Infinite. Eternal bliss can be had only from the
eternal Self. To know the Self is to enjoy eternal bliss and everlasting
peace. Self-realization bestows eternal existence, absolute knowledge, and
perennial bliss. None can be saved without Self-realization. The quest for the
Absolute should be undertaken even sacrificing the dearest object, even
life, even courting all pain. Study philosophical books as much as you
like, deliver lectures and lectures throughout your global tour, remain in
a Himalayan cave for one hundred years, practice Pranayama for fifty
years, you cannot attain emancipation without the realization of the
oneness of the Self.
"Once
we come back to our Self, then whatever is created is happening not so
much from a perspective of “What do I want?” but from a pure
intention. Not an individual intention, not a collective intention, but
the intention, the primal intention. It’s not an intention with a choice
or a chooser. It’s a primary creative energy that comes from the source."
Adyashati"s
non-dual teachings have been compared to those of the early Zen Masters
and Advaita Vedanta sages. Expressing both the infinite possibilities and
the ordinary simplicity of a spiritually realized life, Adyashant's
teachings are directed to those who are sincerely called to awaken to
their true nature and embody this life-changing realization.
