Blue Hill Maine and Surrounding Towns
Marks, Leach, Stover, Wescott
Recently I had the chance to go on vacation "Down East". It was breath
taking! On this page there are pictures of the beautiful scenery. On the
other pages there are cemetery headstones of relatives I have found in our
cemetery travels.
We stopped in 2 Historical Societies. One in Orland Maine, the other in
Penobscot Maine. There I purchased books about each town. In Penobscot
there is a book called "Penobscot Maine - cemetery locations". This book
I found to be fantastic. It contains the names of all who are buried in
each cemetery of Penobscot. Some cemeteries may be a little hard to find tho. In Orland
they also have cemetery records there in the Historical Society that you may
look through. Everyone was wonderful in each society and knowledgable about
the town. I am hoping to go back next year!

You could hear the loons at night
and sometimes during the day. If a motor boat went by she would scream.
