Darryl Kile was my favorite pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. On June 22, 2002, --my 18th birthday-- Darryl passed away in his sleep at the team hotel in Chicago. DK was a great pitcher, teammate, father, husband, and friend to many. Kile, a former 20-game winner and a three-time All-Star, was one of the most respected players in the St. Louis clubhouse. My love and prayers are sent to Flynn Kile and her children.
