Lillian Garcia is shown looking in a mirror, adjusting her hair and make-up. She is smiling excitedly and humming a song she heard earlier on the radio. Her great mood had been decided once she'd heard who would be accompanying her on her promotional assignment tonight. None other than her very own favorite superstar, Shane McMahon, would be her "date" for the evening. They were to attend the opening of a brand new nightclub in town before tonight's ECW show in which Shane was to face Rage in a non-title table match. She gives herself a final glance over and flicks her hair in the manner most women do. She grabs her purse and flings the door open, heading for her limosuine. A few hours later she is standing in the corner, a champagne glass in hand and a sad frown on her face. She was to meet up with Shane at the club itself but arrived to find him in his usual company, around a hundred young, beautiful, Mrs Shane McMahon-wannabes. Lillian recognised the symptoms, she was guilty of them herself. Not only was Shane attractive but he was funny. There was something so irresistable about him. His mannerisms, his self-assurance. It wasn't arrogance, it was confidence and them man oozed it from every pore. She looks across the room to him. His wide smile, his hearty laugh, he was enjoying the company of those cheap gold-diggers. Lillian was devastated. She goes back over to the bar and sits herself down on a stool, cradling her champagne glass between her two hands. The bartender looks at her sympathetically and is about to approach her when someone calls for his attention. He follows the voice and Lillian finds herself alone once more. She hears that laugh again, the one she loved so much. But something sounds different. It's strained. She turns slowly and her heart skips a beat as she sees Shane. He is standing now and moving away from the group of women. He was heading in her direction. She turns back to the bar, trying to see her reflection in the mirror opposite. It was useless. She spotted Shane and her eyes were fixed. He was almost right behind her now still laughing at the girls. He reaches her side and sits next to her, sighing heavily. Shane McMahon: Sorry Lil, god I hate being mobbed sometimes. Lillian Garcia: ~laughs a little~ It's okay. Are you having fun tonight? It'll be good for you to relax before your big match. Shane McMahon: Big match? Lil, that isn't til the pay-per-view. The big part being when I get my shot at the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Rage is a good guy. He doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary or ya know, clinically insane like some people. But he's wrong about me and about himself. Lillian Garcia: Wrong about himself? What do you mean? Shane McMahon: He said that without him, there's no show. Not so. Without the main event there is a perfectly good show. In fact, at Sin, when the main event is all over and laying flat out on the mat, his carcas battered and bruised, there will be a brand new star. Shane O Mac. Lillian Garcia: Wow, but Sin is a few weeks away. What about tonight? Shane McMahon: What about tonight? I told you all already, I'm looking forward to it! It's my first table match and I can't wait. Rage and I, we have mutual respect. He respects me for everything I've done so far in my career and I respect him. I mean, let's face it, it's takes alot of guts to get this far without any real talent. Unfortunately, that all stops soon. Once I defeat him tonight, everyone will see what a big fake he is. There's nothing there to be proud of. His own wife left him. And who did she turn to when she needed protection? That's right, Lil. Me. I was there for Alexi when she was frightened and I'm still there for her. Loyalty. Respect for women. That's the difference between Rage and I. Lillian Garcia: There are plenty of differences between you and Rage, Shane. Shane McMahon: I know! And do you know who the better man is, Lil? Lillian Garcia: ~gazing adoringly~ You are, Shane. Shane McMahon: Exactly! And tonight, everyone else will know. But enough of this, I'm a frim believer in many things Lillian. Fate, destiny, premiscuous sex and most of all, I believe that actions speak louder than words. So enough of all this talking. Tune in tonight and enjoy the show. All hell will break loose, I can promise that. Lillian smiles and lets out a little giggle. Shane turns and sees the gang of women heading his way again. He grabs Lillian's hand and drags her quickly off towards the exit. Once outside and in the safety of their limo, Shane turns to Lillian with a slight smile. Shane McMahon: You know Lil, you've been very patient tonight. Thank you. Lillian Garcia: It was no problem, Shane. You're well worth the wait. ~blushes~ Shane McMahon: You know what, you're right. I am. And I know you've been waiting alot longer for me, Lil. How about I show you a few of the things you've been waiting so patiently for? They soon arrive at the hotel and Lillian accompanies Shane back to his room for a little pre-match exercise. So far, Lillian's dreams were all coming true but would Shane's wishes of beating Rage also come true? |
