It is later in the day and the sun is shining brightly throughout the
latest town to experience the ECW. A few fans have gathered outside the arena in
anticipation of tonight's event. A few stars pass them by without so much as a glance,
much to their disappointment. A short time later, a sleek black stretch limo pulls up
inside the arena's private parking lot. The fans get a little excited as the door opens
and they wait to see who it could be. Out steps a woman with brown hair, wearing a
smart business suit. She is carrying a folder with a few papers inside and straightens
herself as she stands by the open limo door. She looks up and is shocked to see so
many people watching her. She blushes a little and then turns to her companion. The
crowd had been so busy with the woman they hadn't notice another person exit the
limo. Out the other side, stands Shane McMahon. He is wearing dark denim jeans, a
black shirt and a black blazer jacket with black shades. He laughs as the woman moves
next to him and says something quietly. He soon looks past her and spots the small
gathering of fans. He smiles at them as they begin to scream and wave at him. Shane
leans in and speaks quietly to his female friend and she nods in agreement. The driver
takes Shane's bag from him and carries it as he accompanies the lady inside the arena.
Shane slips his hands into his pockets and strolls casually over to the small crowd.
Fan #1: Shane! Shane!
Shane McMahon: Yes? Yes? You don't have to yell, I can hear you.
~laughing~ What can I do for you?
Fan #1: Who was that woman with you? Was that your wife?
Shane McMahon: Nope, that was Allyson. She's my 'personal
assistant'.
Fan #2: What does that mean?
Shane McMahon: I haven't quite figured that one out for myself
yet. I'll have to get back to you on that. ~laughs~ Basically
she's like a Mom who travels with me. She takes care of all the stuff us guys just don't
give a damn about. All the boring stuff really.
Fan #2: Shane, will you sign my magazine?
Shane McMahon: Sure I will honey, hand it over.
The girl passes her magazine over the security barrier to Shane. He
smirks a little as he sees it. It's a copy of the latest ECW magazine, showing pictures of
all the WrestleMania champions on the cover, inclusing himself. He takes her marker
pen and scribbles his signature on the page and hands it back to her. Another few girls ask for autographs to which he happily obliges, gives out a few kisses and poses for a few more pictures before he
sees Jenny Krug arriving. She waves to the fans and Shane, blowing a kiss before she
heads inside the arena. Shane turns back to the fans with a look of indifference.
Fan #3: Shane, why did you make out with Jenny last week? I
thought she was just your friend?
Shane McMahon: I dunno kiddo. It just happened. I don't have any
excuses but I can promise you it won't be happening again. Actually, there are quite a
few things I can make that promise with. It's time for a few changes around here. The
current set-up just ain't workin' at all. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some important
business to attend to tonight. I gotta go get ready. You girls enjoy the show now and
if you like what you see, I'm in room number 247. ~laughs~
He grins as he walks away from the girls, turning back to give them
a little wave about half way across the parking lot. He heads inside the arena and soon
finds himself in his own locker room. His personal assistant, Allyson Carter, is sitting on
the far chair looking over some faxes while his manager, Jennifer Krug, lays on the
couch filing her nails. He sighs a little when he sees her and goes over to Allyson. He
kneels down beside her and moves in close so he can whisper in her ear.
Shane McMahon: Listen honey, do you think you could give us a
second? I've got something important I need to talk to Jenny about.
Allyson Carter: Of course. I'll be back a bit later. Good luck.
Shane McMahon: Thanks babe.
Allyson grabs up her papers and quickly exits the room leaving
Shane and Jenny. Jenny turns round as she hears the door close and notices Shane for
the first time.
Jenny Krug: Oh hey. What's up?
Shane McMahon: Quite alot. I got some things I need to go vent
about. You up for a stroll to the ring?
Jenny Krug: I'm not really dressed for it. Maybe later?
Shane McMahon: Sure, whatever. But there's something I need to
talk to you about right now. The other day when we made out?
Jenny Krug: Oh yeah, I remember alright.
Shane McMahon: I just wanted to say I'm sorry. It shouldn't have
happened. I was being very selfish and I didn't consider how you might feel
afterwards. I never meant to toy with you or encourage something that isn't gonna
happen. Sorry.
Jenny Krug: Oh ...... right. That's okay. Understood.
He turns his back to her and heads towards the door. Once outside,
he rolls his eyes and sighs in frustration. He starts off down the corridor towards the
ring. He passes a quiet corner and spots Allyson sitting reading papers again. He smiles
and stops.
Shane McMahon: It's okay. No big fights occurred. You are safe to
return to the comfort of the locker room. ~laughs~ I'll come get you when I'm ready
to go. Sorry for all this, sweetie.
He smiles warmly at her as she gathers up her stuff once again and
goes back to the locker room. He turns and starts back on his journey towards the
ring. He reaches the curtain and gets a little smile as he hears not only his music hit
but the applause of the excited fans as he steps out onto the stage.
The crowd goes
wild as he makes his way down the ramp with his usual cocky swagger. He slips inside
the ring and does his skipping boxer taunt, the Shane O Shuffle, a little before heading
in Lillian Garcia's direction. He holds out his hand for the microphone she's holding but
she shakes her head "no". He looks at her confused and she smiles. She moves to hte
center of the ring and speaks loudly and enthusiastically.
Lillian Garcia: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the
Intercontinental Champion and the sexiest ECW superstar, Shane McMahon!
He smiles at her and they exchange a few whispers before she
hands over her microphone. She moves back to the ring ropes and stands in the corner
so she can watch Shane at work. He grins and paces around a bit looking to his
audience. He spots a few crowd signs which make him laugh. His mood has greatly
improved but he still has a sense of determination about a certain someone. He raises
the microphone and smirks a little as he begins to speak.
Shane McMahon: What I just did could be considered as very strange. Confused? Then let me enlighten all of you. These last few days I've been watching footage of my very unworthy opponent for Guilty as Charged, Goldberg, and I've noticed something rather disturbing. Hardly surprising considering who we're talking about but it was frightening nonetheless. For the first time in my life, somebody has something that I don't. Now, I know what you're all thinking. 'What on earth could a freak like Goldberg have that would arouse envy from a smooth, handsome, talented, all-round fantastic, perfectly-formed creature like Shane O Mac?' Well, I would love nothing more than to answer that with 'Not a damn thing' but the fact is, he does have something I don't. And it's that beautiful blonde by his side. Yep, his manager Sable. Now, let me just clarify the situation. I'm not saying I want Sable. She's a very attractive woman but I don't see her joining the long list of ladies who've thoroughly enjoyed my company. ~smirks~ What I'm saying is I am not currently enjoying the benefits of a resourceful, useful
businesswoman who is capable of taking care of my in-ring affairs. Sure, my good friend Jenny won the right to be 'Shane McMahon's manager' in a previous match-up
but she hasn't exactly had the chance to live up to that title. She's actually neglected
her own career because mine has been so hectic, therefore, being the gentleman that
I am, I am prepared to part company with her so she can concentrate on herself. Look
at it like this, she's never accompanied me to the ring, she's never
been at ringside during one of my matches and yet I saved her ass from Team Angle at
WrestleMania?! Jenny, baby, it's fine with me. You wanna go off and do your own
thing, I'm cool with it. We're buds, we can handle it. Coz you know what? I've not done
too badly on my own. My win-loss record stands at a superb 4-0 with each and every
one of my previous opponents left cowering in a corner. Hogan, Phate, Maverick, The
Rock and Shaggy 2 Dope. What a joke. I mean, come on! Everybody knows the only
truly great Shaggs around here come from me! ~crowd cracks up
laughing~ And at WrestleMania I acquired my first taste of ECW gold by
winning the Intercontinental title. A title I'll be defending this coming Sunday at Guilty
as Charged. And I gotta be honest, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Goldberg's waist will be finding itself once again, gold-less. Kinda ironic, isn't it? His name is Goldberg and yet gold will be the one thing he won't have. So it all balances out. I'm hot, powerful, loaded with gold and in demand while Goldberg is ... well, he's .... he'll have Sable. ~smiles~ Sounds fair to me.
Shane is still smirking away as Lillian comes up behind him. She taps him on the shoulder and smiles. She speaks to him quietly but the mic picks it up.
Lillian Garcia: Umm Shane? You don't need Sable. You've got Terri, right?
She blushes a little and backs away from him as she realises what she's said.
Shane McMahon: Terri? Lil, do you think I want Terri and not you? Are you upset?
Lillian is back in the corner and nods a little, still blushing.
Shane McMahon: Don't you know, Lil, that there's plenty of Shane to go round? There's enough for everybody. You'll get yours baby, just hang in there.
Lillian blushes even more and breaks into a laugh. Shane winks at her and hands back the microphone. She holds it close to her chest as Shane exits the ring and makes his way back up the ramp. He leaves the stage area and finds himself back in the dull arena corridors. He soon finds his locker room and walks in. Jenny is still sat on the couch and Allyson on the far chair. He motions for Allyson to follow him and she does so. He waits outside as she gathers her things once more and joins him in the corridor. He puts a hand on her back as he guides her down the corridor and out to the parking lot to the waiting limo again. He's not sure how Jenny will react to his offer but he doesn't want Allyson in the way in case things turn ugly. Afterall, she was nothing to do with his in-ring connections. He holds the limo door open for her and then climbs in after her. They are soon back on the road, on their way back to the hotel to relax until the following week's events began.
