Lughnasadh

August 1st - 2nd
(Southern Hemispher: February 1st - 2nd)

Lughnasadh is celebrated in mid-afternoon. This sabbat celebrates the time after the harvest. When the harvest was done fairs and festivals were held. This was a time of rest and relaxation. This was also a time for farm hands to seek new masters. Lughnasadh is also a time to set hostilities aside and a time to re-evaluate ones self.

To celebrate this holiday place a piece of wheat or something similar on the altar and drop blood upon it.

"A time for harvest
A time for peace
Time for inner-seeking
Time for feuds to cease."
