Souther Hemispher: April 30th - May 1st
Samhain is to be celebrated after dark. This sabbat celebrates a time of death. At this time animals were slaughtered and the meat stored for the winter months ahead. Today it is a time to remember our ancestors long since passed.
To celebrate this holiday leave a plate of food on your doorstep for your ancestors long journey. You may also write them a letter and burn it on your alter sending it to the Otherworld to your relitive. Visiting their gravesites is a good idea any time of the year.
"In the cold darknes of night,
Your loved ones shall return.
And on their journey you shall give aid,
Of food in the cold nocturne."
