<Symbols>

The Grapes of Wrath is composed of many symbols, especially in biblical ways. Such as 12 people going on a trip(The Joads), represent the 12 pupils in the bible. Jim Casy, the preacher, as Jesus Christ, he gives many morals to other characters in the book. Ton Joad, at first doesn't understand Jim Casy's words. But after Jim Casy dies, and when Tom hides out and thinks about many things, he finally understands him. We can find a similar anecdote in the bible, too. When Jesus Christ resurrected, one of his pupils, Thomas didn't believe Jesus at first. But after touching him with his own hands, he believes that it's Jesus Christ.
